Advice about the ghosts you can interact with:
You can keep "killing" the ghosts with your dream nail, but the morality behind that can vary from ghost to ghost. Some want to get out of this plane, while others, such as Marissa, seem to not mind or even notice that they are dead. I can guarantee that you're able to do basically everything relevant related to the dream nail by defeating the Dream Bosses (like the Lost Kin and Gorb) and by dream nailing those weird little purple plants, so don't kill the ghosts if you're just looking for easy essence, it's really not worth it. Hope I could explain this well!
It might be true that some ghost(or dreams) dont mind that they are still in the world, but I think the old moth lady said that every dream that remains in the world is a regret of the person... or something like that. So while it might be sad to "kill" them, I personally think its for the better because then the Dreams/Ghosts/Persons can get to the afterlife... But its still pretty sad to "kill" them nonetheless

Tips for Quin:
1. Nosk’s arena has an elevated center high enough that you can squeeze into the left side of it and be safe from almost all his attacks
2. Desolate dive (the down spell) gives you a few frames of invincibility so keep that in mind
3. Seer (the moth you see after getting the dream nail) will give you rewards for collecting essence

So you can go to coloseum to get more geo. It is not that hard and you can get geo after I don't know 10 minutes of fighting?
Just don't do the true Fool one ( last one . The big yellow one ) than you should be fine. You can destroy wall on the right to get an hot spring on the downer side of coloseum also if you climb back up on the right you can destroy the wall there to. Than you will get mini boss fight for simple key.

@@abrawolf the first time I met a ghost was when I found Marrisa and after I talked to her, I dreamnailed her to see if something would happen. When I realised what had happened I immediately Alt+F4 just so it wouldn't save. I was soooooo relieved when it worked.
I've recently been watching you and you seem like the most friendly guy ever
Here's a few tips:
Beating a boss will not always be easy. For instance, Flukemarm becomes significantly easier once you're strong enough to one-shot the flukeflies. Search for mask and vessel shards/fragments for more HP and soul capacity.
Multiple bosses have shortcuts to their arena, for example Nosk and Soul Master. Opening these up will save a lot of time.
There's a specific item you need in order to upgrade your nail over tier 2. Maxed out nail deals 5 times the damage of broken nail I think?
Spells may seem costly, but they are worth using. Use Howling Wraiths (Up spell) for maximized damage and Desolate Dive (Down spell) for a short invinsibility time and wide AOE. Vengeful spirit (Fireball thing) is nice for ranged enemies and increased damage when cast instantly after a nail hit.
Nail arts come in 3 variants, as you know: Dash Slash, Great Slash, and Cyclone Slash. The former two deals 2.5x your nail damage, and can be used to take out certain enemies (especially some in the colosseum) very fast. Cyclone Slash is nice on collecting soul and dealing lots of damage: the duration can be increased if you spam the attack button while active. Also there's a specific NPC you can visit after collecting all nail arts; he's also easy to access.
Finding charms is very important especially if you're having trouble with some bosses: read their description carefully and choose what to bring on a certain boss.
Farming geo isn't very important unless you need 24k geo for 'something'. A quick tour around the crossroads will earn you plenty- but careful, an orange fog might be coming out of the well...

I always love watching newcomers to the game! I've been playing for one year (have basically all the achievements, except the hardest of all). I don't personally have any advice right now. I'd recommend you find Pale Ore so you can upgrade your nail more, so you can beat bosses more easily, especially the one below the Dung Defender (go to his place, and below the platform to the right of the arena, do a groundpound). Remember to use spells more too! Especially the basic fireball spell (vengeful spirit).
Next episode I collect a lot of pale ore !!
I'm impressed that you sufficiently owned your monster-ness at dream-nailing Marissa to save-scum her back to life. I don't know about hardest boss, but my wife finds Gorb the most _annoying_ boss in the game if she can't reach the mute button. And don't forget to regularly go back to the Seer to cash in that Essence you're collecting off dream bosses for new lore and upgrades.

When dream nailing a ghost you are putting them at peace and finally letting them rest.

Revek begs to differ
1. There is a boss in King’s Pass you can access now you have the double jump.
2. There is a boss in Queen’s Garden along with a very important person you should meet.
3. After getting some upgrades, you should check out the first boss’s area.
4. For Flukemarm, you can spam the up spell while underneath her. It will hit her multable times and do loads of damage. Refill soul on the flying enemies. You could also upgrade your nail so you oneshot the minions.
5. The nice thing about dream bosses like Lost Kin is that you don’t even need a bench. You can attempt them as many times as you want without actually dying.
(Assuming you have DLC, I am not actually sure if you do or not but I’ll leave them here anyway)
6. Between the ancient cavern and Kings Pass there are some bees, perhaps there is a hive nearby?
We anxiously await the day you fight the Ancient Watchers.

About flukemarm, the item she drops is overpowered on its own but with other charm combos it can be Devastating to even the late game bosses, I killed her by using the howling wraiths spell about 10 times on her so she’s not that difficult if you have the soul catcher charm and just focus on staying below her cavitys that shoot out those flying turnips.
Seer gives you some really late game items when you’ve acquired a certain amount of essence (you get essence from refighting the broken vessel in the dream world along with other bosses like the False knight and soul master and there’s even dream mini bosses you can find throughout the world that give you essence) Which is why refighting bosses is so important.
And above all I’d suggest upgrading your nail with pale ore found throughout the world and there’s a blacksmith in the city of tears all the way at the bottom to the left (I can’t remember where all the ore so I’d probably look up a map of some kind).

Try using the groundpound underneath the switch next to the Dung Defender arena, the one you used to get the waterworks going. Use it under the platform, of course.

While doing the Cyclone Slash, keep repeatedly pressing the attack bottom to make it last longer and slow your descent speed while doing it mid air.
Also, tip for Flukemarm boss: Just charge the Cyclone Slash and unleash it while jumpimg off the platform next to her.

In the Howling Cliffs there's a false wall you can beat the crap out of, out in the wide open area. It'll reveal a corridor, and at the end is the corpse of a bug. Dream nail the bug.

heh you missed another secret wall in the royal waterways right above flukemarm, also the dreamers arent boss fights but the dream bosses are just harder versions of the original boss, the reward for defeating one is getting dream essence so you can access the path of pain and the white palace

A few things:
1. There is a hidden boss slightly to the right and above King's Station in the City of Tears that requires a key (which you might have idk) that you find in the lower right section of the Queen's Gardens. The reward for beating the boss is something that will help with collection immensely.
2. There are 4 dream variant bosses that you can fight. (Lost Kin is one of them). You have already beaten the other three bosses so you have all of the dream variants available to fight.
3. If you're wanting to fight every boss in the game, there are a total of 47 bosses. This includes the dream boss variants and DLC bosses. However, 7 of those bosses are found in a DLC area found in the far left side of the Royal Waterways underneath where the Nailsmith is. You don't have to complete said DLC as it is extremely difficult, but I suggest playing the first bit so you can see the new non-variant bosses. (You need a simple key to access the area, but one was added by the DLC to the right of the Colosseum of Fools.)
4. Elderbug is a cool dude.
I joined this series a little late so I don't know what all you have done, but I hope this helps! I tried to make it as informative and spoiler free as possible.

Well, you gained a subscriber. Hollow Knight is my second favourite game of all time, and you're making a very entretaining series out of it. The path you're taking through the game is very interesting, most people gets the dream nail way earlier and by this point have at least a couple more masks.
Just a warning: If you ever get to tthat, DON'T try to defeat the Pantheon of Hallownest. You'll know what I mean when you get to it. It's probably the hardest thing I've ever accomplished in a videogame.

Word of advice! Don’t go for the dreamer in Deepnest until you’ve done the thing in Kingdom’s Edge, you’ll get extra lore if you do.

Ok, a few things. 1 when you die your soul gauge cracks so you can't have as much heals as before until you kill your shade. 2 the hotsprings give you Soul. 3 fighting your shade gives you back your money. 4 there's a money grabbing charm you can buy in Dirtmouth. 5 spells do about 3x more damage than a nail. 6 if you press the RB button on your controller you can spam spells. 7 there's a charm in Crystal Peak that lets you heal faster, you just have to fight a boss and you can do that by being stinky and standing next to him
"are we gonna get the double jump here" its almost like the game is themeing the exploration in its areas around the abilities youll get there
For Flukemarm I recommend spamming the howling wraiths on her. Also you can kill the little baby worms at the entrance for soul. That’s how I beat her

That one room with that big knight guy with the claw that you saw in one of the earlier episodes and said you had to uncross your legs for but then re crossed them because you couldn't fight him is actually a dream warrior just like Gorb. Just hit him with the dream nail.

If you go back to broken vessel anytime i would suggest the dung defender crest. The orange guys just pop when they touch you.

Tips again:
-There is no boss under the grove. I meant to say slam attack(dive attack) exactly at 3:19.
-If you beat Nosk, you will get a Pale ore. So do that.
-If you beat a dream(harder) version of a boss, you will get 200-300 essence. Get 1800 to "Awake the dream nail" and 2400 to get the "true ending". Also go back to seer.
-I recommend going back to crystal peak. You can now get two new items(won't say what) with the wings.
-Also do the coliseum of fools after getting a nail upgrade once or you might suffer.
-Flukemarm is canonically a MILF(this is a fact).
-Oh and also Dung defender's name is Ogrim :)

You need to beat all the dream bosses to get to Radiance boss fight and final ending
@@qwertyuiop3656 No you don't...all you need to fight Radiance is acquire Void Heart and have used the Dream Nail on the Hollow Knight when Hornet holds them down. And yeah you need a lot of essence for the Awoken Dream Nail which is required to get the Void Heart but you don't need to beat all the dream bosses for it, just the dream knights which give out the most essence. The only dream bosses you need to beat are failed champion, soul tyrant and lost kin since those give 1000 essence each. Beat those three puls all the Dream Knights and a bit extra from trees and you can get well over the 1800 needed

when you were in isma's grove if you had swam like a meter more to the right you would have found a thing, and for another boss in that area go to where you hit the lever to open up isma's grove, go under the platform you stand on and dive.

Piece of advice, no spoilers: Yes, slap the guys with the dreamnail, after you've listened to them (or fight the ones you can fight) They give you essence. Once you got 200 essence go back with the Seer at the Resting Grounds (u can do it after or before the boss at kindoms edge, dont worry about that).

Sometimes fighting the dream enemies unlocks things. When hitting ghosts with the dream nail you are cutting their bond to the living world and letting them go to bug heaven. Keep talking to the lady in the graveyard she can unlock a dream nail ability that can let you make a warp point by charging the hit and pressing down so you can warp to a point of interest when you get a new powerup. Don't feel bad about the Lost Kin, took me 20+ tries to beat cause I got greedy. There are 3 brothers that teach nail arts, once you learn from them go see the shop keep. Also test your skills at the coliseum. One of the prizes is a item that will let you upgrade your nail again. Last thing for the worm fight just keep moving and dashing around it. Dream nailing bosses gives you a lot of essence which gets you closer to being able to upgrade it

Surely with the dream nail you can light the nightmare lantern. (if you haven't found it it's somewhere in howling cliffs), it unlocks a cool side quest with some really cool boss fights!
And also by under the grove people *may* have actually been referring to the dung defender's arena? there's a desolate diveable room below it (it's not marked by the crumbling ground like other smashable floors, but it's around the tank thing you drained after beating DD to access the grove).

3.the dream bosses do serve a purpose which is getting soul essence
4. go to the lake of unn
5.find the soul sanctum

Okay so i just saw that you've already been in the soul sanctum and currently there isn't anything else you can do there and 2 things about the fragile charms are you should use them when fighting dream bosses because they can't break from them and later on you can actually pay a s##t ton of geo to make them unbreakable (the lowest is 12000)

That’s the thing like I don’t mind dying to a boss a bunch of times if it’s fun but most bosses in souls games just aren’t fun imo they always have too much health hollow knight does boss fights right
@@QuinBoBin I love the boss fights in this game! I only wish we could maybe had a charm that shows boss health. I like knowing I'm getting better by looking at a meter.

Defenders Crest and Spore Shroom is a good combo for the upgraded version of the Monarch Wing boss. Big puff that stops the ghosts dead.

I'd like to leave a little tip for anyone who wants to fight Broken Vessel/Lost Kin (Dream version)
Equip the Defender's Crest charm! It'll destroy the little orange balloon guys, giving you more time to focus on the boss, or to heal without worry of getting hit by them mid-recover! Hope this helps someone!

Some gamer knoledge:
There are 5 bosses you can slap with the nail to get essence (I'll explain later in case you don't know about it):
The thick boi Soul Master, the one you found, the big boi False Knight, the best boi Dung Defender and the hardest boi that you don't have acess to yet.
(Essence is the thing you can get from the trees you can slap, from those guys I talked about and the bosses like Xero and Gorb, that can help you get rewards from the moth guy that gave you the dream nail)

I actually uploaded the first time I beat the broken vessel onto my channel because back then I didnt know he looks up before dying, so I just looked down at him at the same time he looked up. It just looked like a moment of "damn homie I'm sorry" and it was pretty sad

I'm guessing that with under the grove they mean that other area that is hidden and kind pointless but very cool, basically go to the bottom of kingdoms edge, you know where you get if you take the tram and then go all the way right till you need to start going up, at the bottom of that start looking for a breakable wall thats kinda hard to reach but you'll be able to I believe
