Hey Bill, with Gated Fuzzes you have a volume threshold within the pedal. You have to cross that threshold to make the pedal create sound and if you don't cross the threshold the pedal is completely silent. So if you think of your guitar's volume on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being really soft playing, 10 being really loud playing). Let's say the gate is set at 4. Anything you play below 4 won't come through the pedal, but once you hit that 4 you'll start making sound. I hope that helped!
??? delay time is on a trim pot inside the pedal? why even put a delay in there. It's laughably limited. Would have loved more controls for the original fuzz circuit instead of wasting real estate with the delay.
Understood. We wanted to make something different, more plug and play. Simple. We are confident the delay time works to girth out the fuzz, but just in case the user wants to do something different, we put another option there for them. Less external controls helps simpler players feel more confident with a dual effect while allowing the tweakers more fun to play around if they wish. We offer mods too :).
