Those little animals probably cut way back on the mouse 🐁 and 🐀. Mice and even rats can pose a problem at shelters along the Appalachian Trail. PS did your voice improve later??
They were put up during the COVID19 lockdown, when restrictions limited indoor venues to 50% capacity (so only 3 people could stay in each hut). I am not sure what the plan is for these tents in the future.

Yeah, Genets do hunt rodents. They are quite opportunistic and will eat whatever is available. My voice did improve right at the end 😊
Why is there canvas tents at some of the huts? Do you know?
