From the developer: "The Duelist is a disciplined and deadly combatant who can tactically switch between Defensive and Aggressive stances. A formidable presence in any lineup, she is able to ignore enemy defenses, and strike back with Riposte. Her pursuit of perfection means she will demand the best of her team and command them to victory by wiping out cooldown times and providing both offensive and defensive buffs. The Duelist is able to move between ranks with ease, attacking from both the front and back ranks, dispatching her enemies with ruthless efficiency.
The Crusader has returned! This battle hardened knight is fueled by a radiant Holy fire and will Smite his foes where they stand. The Crusader is a well rounded front rank hero who can withstand punishing blows, support his team with healing and stress recovery, and rend his opponents with his righteous blade."

BaerTaffy, or just Baer, plays games like Spelunky, Darkest Dungeon, Darkest Dungeon II, Hollow Knight, FTL, PowerWash Simulator, Hardspace Shipbreaker, Dave the Diver, Dredge and many more!
On today's episode baertaffy takes on the seething sigh without any back rank damage options!
Again? Again.
Thanks for the spoiler. 😒
@@yosenpaitommy213 🫵🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@yosenpaitommy213you can tell from the moment he starts, what is this
Why does he keep doing this? Is he purposely making it harder on himself?
I know this has been said by chat before, but the way the Crusader swings his sword back after a Smite has such a satisfying weight to it
You are the dancing team,
Bruised and beat, So many maladies.
Dancing team,
Fear the heat of the Eldritch scream, Oh yea-aaarrrgh!
As a youtube watcher ive never been more proud of chat bullying streamer into bad decisions.
That's like half of his content lol😅
Fun Fact: The weapon skin on the Duelist for this episode is actually an estoc, which is like a rapier in that it only has a sharp tip and no edge along it, but instead of a basket hilt has a regular guard.
A lot of people are falling asleep on front rank / reap bannerette. As long as there is combo team, the healing of reap level 2 is constant and its anti healing being a front line off tank
That's just default Reap, don't need Banneret for that
Having tried to play "The Wall" party
I discovered DD2 is completely reliant on backline damage. Some enemy teams are unkillable no matter how much damage you can do to the front.
Man that Sprawl fight was actually just fucking cruel. Honestly, I'd be upset too if the RNG just decided "Fuck you, you aren't hitting anyone."
1:13:00 "A simple variable, easily resolved." Wayne, I don't think you were paying attention man. lol
1:09:35 I'm surprised baer didn't read about the banneret path it has no bonuses and it's a path for back rank crusader yet he doesn't use the skills associated with the path. That path is not meant for front rank I hope people beg him to understand the paths before using them.
its just usual bear not reading/paying attention like always moment
Banneret works perfectly well in the front rank and does more damage than Aggressor on average due to the way it interacts with the combo token.
The only thing aggressor has over banneret is the execute
Baer i think you're overusing duelists setup skills she almost did no damage to the sigh becouse of the meditantion-preparation loop you had going
Yea I think getting in that loop fucked him harder than the Sigh normally does
Oohhh I think you forget to read that Banneret is focusing on the last rank, not the first. That what Aggressor does best.
Banneret works perfectly well in the front rank and does more damage than Aggressor on average due to the way it interacts with the combo token.
The only thing aggressor has over banneret is the execute
Sipping on some chilled Mt. Dew and watching Baer play DD2: DLC on my phone, plus as a secondary interest having an episode of PokerGO's "No Gamble, No Future" high-stakes No Limit Texas Hold'em playing on the TV in the background, and it doesn't get much better than that as a means for relaxation late on a Sunday evening for me. 🥤🎮🃏
1:08:00 if your so sick of the dodge tokens, maybe focus fire the mob giving them out. . . .
A question about the bounty hunter....can you take him to the boss fight?
Not the final boss of a chapter, but you can take him to the bosses of the zones
@@cmleibenguthdamn!!
Really hoping in the future they update the game. To where you can have the Bounty Hunter unlocked permanently.
Perhaps a large Candle cost for the unlock. Or having a set amount of relics/babbles at the end of the run. That get collected into a pool, similar to candles. Can use them for more unlocks.
More overall options would be nice. Look forward to future releases.
The mechanics they've introduced to get the Crusader would be the most suitable path for that, but I would *loathe* it to be a paid expansion. Bounty Hunter being a class from the base game, in the first game, shouldn't even have been this "appears sometimes" character you have to spend resources to get, and tha be the *only* way to get him.
I said it before, I'll say it again. Buying a temporary party member ISNT a bad idea. The idea of having a character who you can spend resources during a rest to take the place of a party member, who you basically dont need to worry about? That's genius.
What it should have been, is a *random* class from the list you haven't picked, and the Bounty Hunter should have just been a regular, traditionally unlockable class. As it is, this just feels like a relic of the ancient design document for DD1 which played with the idea of the Bounty Hunter working like they do in DD2, which was scrapped, and it worked much better. A chance to see a Vestal, or a Jester on a run where you didn't take them, but very much which you did is FAR more engaging than "oh look, Bounty Hunter again."
With any luck, we'll see a quest for Bounty Hunter to be a permanent addition in the future.
This boy is 0 for 4 lol
41:57 ayo 😦
Deus Vult 😔
Nice
I just came across ep. 1 like an hr ago
Is there even a good path to breathing the sigh without heals?
You can beat it down with damage just by focusing on the Sigh itself, not the lungs, but you need a high health high damage team, real good luck ignoring Blind tokens, and its Burn DoT not landing. Doable, but rough
the runaway looks too much like a single mother with a drug addiction. . . .
Wow did they revert the sigh back to his former double breath at 70% juggernaut days?
