I do however always find myself tuning into your videos every time a new one pops up. Even though our sports are a wee bit different I have learned many things from your training tips , positional play and spin on the cue videos. Keep it up good Sir. You are truly a marvel on the snooker table.

    This is one of the most important things I have been thinking about for my cuing. Spot on video. I struggle if I come back to the V because my cuing isn’t straight. But if I don’t pull back enough I don’t get the smoothness. Around the black spot I dont pull back too far and I’m more accurate.

      @@Breakfromlife I'm convinced it was just because of Selby. If he had tried comventional escape methods, it would have made him mad, I guess. So why try competing in the safety departement where Selby is much better, when he can keep up the flow of the game to stay mentally healthy.

      Ronnie learned his lesson way back during his ebdon match. He's not playing someone else's match. That makes a champion. Selby didn't need to cry like a little bitch. That's not gone over well. He'll regret that interview. Mark's time is up. Gary and kyren Wilson, Trump, it's all about the new kids on the block. Yes, I feel Gary Wilson is going to find a place in the top 10, eventually. I use medium sized bridge, after experimenting for myself. I avoid power shot especially screw because I usually miss them.

    • @colincolenso
      @colincolenso 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Having a medium length bridge and missing screw shots is a sign that you are probably aligning most shots thick and using an outside swipe to make most of your soft shots. Screw demands hitting near to center of the CB, which negates swiping. Those screw shots are telling you where you are really aligned to with your bridge placement.

    • @mynechan
      @mynechan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@colincolenso I don't really get 'outside swipe', but I try my best to hit center of CB and not use any spin.

    • @colincolenso
      @colincolenso 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mynechan Outside is an American term, meaning to hit to the right of Cue Ball center when cutting the Object Ball to the left (and vice versa). Almost all amateurs do this, and that is why they struggle with power shots, as they align thick on most cut shots. Watch my videos on Back Hand English for more info.

      @@mynechan As a guideline, Ronnie 'Sullivan has a 9.4mm thin brass ferrule tip and bridges at around 12 inches normally. This works out near to his effective pivot point on most shots. For a 10mm standard thicker brass ferule, the effective pivot point is around 10 inches for firm shots.
