You guys better go on TH-cam and listen to Chicago. I'm 64 and grew up listening to Chicago, journey, Fleetwood mac, tower of power, the Carpenters, eagles, all the greats, earth wind and fire, Aerosmith, i could go on and on. I saw Chicago in two concerts and Journey in three concerts. I was so close to James Pankow at one of the Chicago concerts he signed my piano book for me. Welcome to the best era of music guys! Music is the universal language as shown by Leonid and Friends.
I'm surprised by Tazz's unfamiliarity with one of the most iconic electric guitar solos of all time. Leonid listens to the original pieces and transcribes each part, instrument by instrument and vocals part by part. The guitar solo here is spot on in replicating the original. This is an incredible performance!
Unfortunately enough, there are a gabillion wonderful Musicians out there. I just never even heard of Leonid until now. 😏
Im confident I know some Musicians you may not have heard of. ...but im happy this channel is introducing music to us from all over.

Guys please get acquainted with the music before you comment otherwise you will not appreciate the full greatness of what you have just heard and how Leonid and Friends did this and other music of Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire - the main vocalist is in Ukraine and the war has cut him off from the rest of the band in Russia. Leonid and Friends have had such an impact on the American Chicago fans that they have done more than one tour of the US. Listen to more of their music guys.

L&F is NOT a COVER BAND; They are a TRIBUTE BAND (that is, they try to play and sound as much like the original as possible)..and these guhys are Spot on !!!

You should watch this group cover Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Fantasy”. Jeez. Simply incredible. Russians & Ukrainians can get along & they can make magic when they do.

Thanks for this reaction. It is always helpful when you are familiar with the original song, but nonetheless the music is infectious. I have followed this group for four or five years and their versions of Chicago and Earth wind & Fire are second to none. They are all extremely accomplished musicians not just wannabes. The world needs a lot more real music these days! Peace and love.

Leonid and Friends are from Moscow, singer in this song is from Ukraine (no longer with them) the line up keeps growing and improving check out their website to see all their new releases. The travel to the US for live shows at least twice annually. One of the best tribute bands out there
The band Chicago was up late trying to write this song, one member asked what time was it . Another member said that it was 25 or 6 to 4, thus the title of the song

All Russian and Ukranian, spreading peace through their music. They do amazing covers of Chicago, EW&F, etc. And the instrumental section has grown and improved since this cover. Their cover of September by EW&F has over 10 million views. Also great vocals by the sole female vocalist currently in the band on their cover of Superstar (Carpenters) and Ain't Nobody (Chaka Khan and Rufus). I'm late to this game, but if you haven't gone down the rabbit hole, I highly recommend it!

It’s about them in the studio all night and when someone says,” What time is it”? They really don’t know and they say something that means nothing!!!
The original drummer of Chicago - Danny Seraphine - has become good friends with this group, even joined them on stage on their US concerts. L&F don't really do covers, they faithfully recreate the original studio recordings almost to perfection. If you don't see them but just heard them it would take a very good ear to tell them apart from the original. Sometimes Leonid embellishes the arrangement in the style the original band could have done, but other than that, very faithful. They have expanded their repertoire to other horn-based bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Ides of March, Tower of Power, to name a few. Each song as good as the original.
They are well versed with that array of talented Musicians. Thanks for the intel.
This is the best cover of "25 or 6 to 4" i have ever witnessed ! The title is about a song writer debating whether he should continue because it's 25 or 26 minutes till 4 am ! We use to play this song when i was in High School i was the trombone player =) Misa from Band Maid also plays the trombone !

Just saw them live in Vegas and they were fantastic. There are several documentaries on TH-cam about how they got started which is fascinating. They also do Tower of Power , Blood Sweat and Tears, Chaka Khan, etc. So talented.

The difference between Tribute band and Cover band. The Cover does a song in their style .A tribute plays exactly, note for note and sound for sound as a Tribute to the musicians they go to great details to sound exactly like powerful musicians of the past. This group is so versatile that it has branched out to original pieces that are pure music artistry.

I love this version. I like the Chicago studio version too. The Chicago live version is basically a long guitar solo.

Leonid transcribes every part note for note which makes for a very good copy but when you see Terry Kath live at Tanglewood you realize how robotic the guitar is in this one. Too bad the war took away the lead singer since he happens to be Ukranian.
