    Loved Severino today. His ability to reach back for 98/99 mph when he needed AND to locate those pitches was super impressive. Much credit to him.

    When Lindor and Nimmo get a bit cold with the bats Mets suffer a lot, time for other guys to carry some of the weight as well.

      It would be nice for Alonso to hit a stretch where he can carry the offense. He’s due. I kind of feel like Vientos has a run in his tank for the second half too. Álvarez absolutely will hit some homers, .. that is just a matter of time.

    Im glad they addressed the McNeil year. The dude has been getting the craziest defense ive ever seen played against him all year. Hed be hitting .300 and 1.000 if they didnt all get so damn lucky against him all the time

    Both teams are 0-17 with runners in scoring position we gotta drive in those runs and keep on winning

      The Mets did hit the ball hard in this game into some unlucky outs.

      True, but also some very good Marlin defense. Credit where credit is due.

    Absurd how many line outs the Mets have had this series already…I’ve never seen such hard struck balls turn into outs

    • @dashx1103
      @dashx1103 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@markf3391 Finkelstein had some stats on this at Locked On this morning. In these two games so far they’ve had something like 24 or 25 balls put in play with exit velocities over 95 mph. Two conspicuous examples from this win were McNeil’s bullet to 1b and Nimmo’s 9th inning drive where the LF made a great diving catch. Sooner or later, hard hit balls start turning into hits. I’m kind of expecting a big game from the bats today - they are due.

      I wonder if they are trying too hard. Before the break, I feel like Alonso wasn't trying to hit them out of the park so much, but was getting extra base hits and driving runs in. I almost prefer that than hr attempts every game that turn into lineouts and pop-ups instead.

    Serverini has appeared to me, to have proven he is a viable free agent commodity that will garner some decent interest. He'll be 31 next year and may see a 2-4 year commitment in the $15m-$25m a year range. The better he does going forward, the higher that annyal number could go in that range. Good for him.

    McNeil caught a bad break but he and Alonso especially need to pick it up, can't all be on Lindor and Alvarez. Diaz was nice today. Severinon was good but Marlins swung at some terrible pitches.
