Most of us realize that these songs aren't the sacred songs used in ceremonies, but are simply a way of sharing our culture with those who are interested. Mr. Tohonnie does a great job of singing & the dancers are fabulous, but we realize it is entertainment, not a ceremony. Most ceremonies involving the Crown Dancers, who are sacred spiritual beings, are private within the tribe & shared only with outsiders on occasion. Mr. Tohonnie & the dancers do no harm by sharing a glimpse of our culture with the world. Many who aren't Apache love the Crown Dancers & often travel hundreds of miles to see them.
I'm native but young. Still ceremonies go on in our ikdways. I understand now spirituality at 43 years young. When tears or crying and sometimes the it happens to others the same or different depending on how they arrive, but it's the spirit if yourself , and yourself us God because God us us. but have modesty and class not style or bigger person ego
Whenever I get depressed, I come to hear it all... the drums, the singing and watch the dancers. This lifts my spirits, thanks to ALL the singers, dancers and drummers! We need more of you and less whiners!😊👍 Great job people and thank you so much for sharing...from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!
My husband is white, part Iroquois, has lived in Globe all his life, his best friend growing up was an Apache. Every time the dancers come out he’s in another realm. He still has a painting of the dancers from Ralph Holmes he has had since 1977
This is my favourite song. I watch the Apache Crown Dancers all the time. Watching them this morning before I start my busy day. Makes my day happy. Cymru ( Wales)UK😊🤝

I don't see nothing wrong with his songs. He's half Apache & Navajo. Let him do his own twist and style of songs. Nobody cares what y'all think. Be you and worry about yourself and let the man be himself. Maybe if he was full Apache or Navajo, y'all could talk your shame on him. He's a good guy that's all that matters.
I respectfully have a question- if anyone can answer. Are these songs and dances the SAME dance and songs from your ancestors thousands of years ago? Or are these more your tribes have created over the years?
Well I mean as long as it isn’t like really sacred songs used in your ceremonies and we Navajo don’t know anything about Apache songs because it isn’t our culture
If it is so wrong why is everyone dancing away? Looks to me like they are all doing a good job with nice regalia. Naysayers speak up and explain just what is wrong
These things have been happening many many years and are conducted by medicine men their is very few left that know the real ways of you ever get a chance in your lifetime to come Arizona to attend a real dance you will understand the differance.

Humans have advanced technology, art, literature, transportation, mathematics, manufacture, music, politics, weapons, materials, and communications.
