Her departure comes in the wake of a heated on-air exchange with her co-hosts after defending Piers Morgan's criticism of Meghan Markle. I am black and I did not hear Sharon nor Pierce say anything racial. I heard what many call “freedom of speech” which doesn’t seem to be working anymore. If you speak something about someone that is not your race, and people don’t agree with it, it that considered racist? I don’t think so. Just because Sharon thinks Pierce has a right to say what he said does not mean she is racist. If Pierce and Megan were black what would he be charged with then? It’s wrong of anyone to put race in this just because of their color and you don’t like what he said. Soon no one will be able to say anything about anyone that is not of their same race. Now if Sharon said racist things years ago then she should have been dealt with that then. This time I think Pierce had a right to his opinion. He don’t have to believe her if he don’t want to, and he should be able to say it.
Look up micro aggressions and stop being a pick me. The way she yelled at Sheryl alone for being asked a question is beyond freedom of speech lol Plenty ppl agree with Piers but would have never come out of character like that. Then she played victim like ppl set her up lol

I don't think Piers is racist. He's a general bully with an unhealthy obsession with Meghan. Unfortunately Sharon totally exposed herself by talking down to Sheryl who handled the situation with amazing restraint and professionalism.

I agree. Getting rid of people doesn’t help us learn how to have discussions and learn from one another. It further divides us in the long run.
Another thing, the whole concept of these shows is to bring different perspectives into play with the stories or topics they bring up! Targeting any one cast member only serves a biased agenda, which in turn destroys the formula that makes these shows work!
It was the way thst Mrs. Osborne behaved, not them talking, that was the issue. She went mad.

After she commanded Sheryl, her supposed Friend not to have any feeling on the issue. Wow. Well, I tell people how I worked many yrs. for the World's largest Airline for many yrs. When I was in my Uniform it is what would you like Miss, etc. I stayed in 5 star hotels, but Black people don't stay in a Uniform 24/7. I showered, changed to my regular Clothes and I was going two the pool.. I was stopped by a White looking Woman. She's a Hotel enployee. Where's your dam room key. In a split second Shes on her walkie talkie describing Me. She is calling the police. She's says oh your fine , quickly move now to the exit. No time to do anything, I go to the front desk and check out. I have had problems at several expensive hotels. The rest of the flight crew stayed, they were all Whte.

If you read between the lines she got paid so I would not feel that sorry for her. She could have handled the situation better by stating she is defending her friends right to free speech and left it at that period full stop. Nobody fired her. She was ranting and raving for NO reason and embarrassed herself.
I think people really just don’t understand how to interpret the “news”. Sharon isn’t returning because she screamed at and embarrassed a coworker who was just asking a question. Then told her not to express her emotions and then dropped multiple F bombs. It has nothing to do with her being racist. You cannot create a hostile work environment for people. I have plenty of diverse friends and I would never belittle them for asking a question. You can disagree but you can’t cross the line into disrespect.
For those who are wondering how her original stance with Piers is racist I’ll try to explain. At first I gave Piers the benefit of doubt and thought there wasn’t any racism in his comments. I thought sure as heck it was an attack against people struggling with mental health and suicidals thoughts. I thought it was insensitive to Megan and others going through the same but it didn't strike me immediately as racist.
Here’s where you have to use your critical thinking cap. Harry sat right next to Megan for almost half of the interview. He told is truth and expressed his very own traumas caused at the hands of the royals. However who is being called a liar? Mainly just Megan. So why? Either racism, misogyny, or perhaps a combination of both. When you call Megan a liar but your only criticism of Harry is to ask who was the source of the skin complexion comment (which he's obviously withholding out of respect for the person), theres a huge disparity in the treatment of the two people. Why call Megan a liar and not Harry? I’m open minded so if you can figure it in a way that doesn’t point to racism and misogyny let me know...
I'm very confused about what exactly was asked by the royal of the baby's skin tone. My family is all mixed up & It's very common to wonder what skin tone the babies will be. It varies so much even amongst the same children of biracial couples. Children from the same parents don't appear to be possibly related. It's exciting.
The only time it's offensive is when a stranger asks the mother if her kids are all from the same man. My mother used to cry over that.
@@shanrose8283 It’s mainly because when Harry and Meghan brought it up, they said how the person inquiring was concerned about the babies skin tone. It’s the fact that the possibility of the baby being a skin tone raises concern is what is racist. Harry and Meghan didn’t just say someone was wondering about it, they said that someone was expressing concern for what that would mean for the royal family. It’s fine for people to try to imagine what a baby will look like before it’s born, I’m pregnant and try to do it all the time. What’s not fine is someone focusing on the skin color aspect and viewing that as an issue that raises concern for their own public image.

Whether or not Sharon is racist isn't what I have issue with. It's the fact that she spoke to a colleague I such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. We all have a code of conduct at our place of employment. A way we are to act with coworkers that should in no way be humiliating or demeaning. Sharon's behavior towards Cheryl was EXACTLY that. She spoke to Cheryl in a way that was degrading and insulting. It was certainly not the manner in which we speak to a colleague and "friend " whom we claim to respect.

100% agree it’s not the fact that she was defending someone who she honestly believes isn’t racist. she can have that opinion. She took to address the issue on a platform that is open conversation. It lives off the back and forth of opinions. If she wanted to just say her piece take it to social media. All Cheryl was doing is giving her outlook on the situation and it’s what the show is about. Since sharron only wanted to be heard and not hear others out she attacked in a cunning verbally abusive manner. It really makes you question her as a person. She knows cameras are running so if she can’t hide her mean girl attitude on screen it is obviously worse when the cameras are off. That cry comment was crossing a line

In a tv interview Sharon admitted that she was asked ahead if they could bring up topic and ask questions, understanding they have different points of view and she agreed to it. So she wasn't blindsided. She just couldn't support her viewpoint in a intelligent, dignified manner.
That's odd because she said in an interview that they all had an agreement to give each other a heads up because this had happened previously. Not a good excuse of course she shouldn't have spoken to Sheryl in that manner.

I think this is absolutely ridiculous..... And you media people have totally spun this into Sharon defending her friend making racist comments.... Actually, I don't think he did make any racist comments.... He just expressed his disapproval of Megan..... Did he ever refer to the color of her skin??? I'm pretty sure he did not....
And Sharon never said that she agreed with his opinion of Megan... she only said that she supported his right a free speech. But of course our American press controlled by the people who own the networks choose to put words into people's mouths.... and spin things the way they want people to see them.

Being accused of something you are not is a highly emotional state to be in. I didn't see any concrete evidence that Sharon is a racist. Your show closed ranks on some one who was asking for the evidence.
We Americans see Megan as harmless, so when we try to find out why so many British people object to Megan, then they become very defensive, like Sharon. Their overreaction seems to point to something else that they find to be a very uncomfortable subject. The truth.

He should explain why he said that so we could better understand. Now he is the bad guy. It is best to chalk some remarks to lack of information. He probably doesn’t mean to hurt Archie, and now Archie is the subject of some simple misunderstandings. Would not it be better to hold that hurtful complaint? Take it to the one who offended at the start.

To me, it was less about her trying to defend Pierce Morgan rather it was the white superiority of her trying to "correct" Sheryl Underwood. Tone is everything. For Pierce and her, they are both entitled and feel they have the right to dictate what is deemed as acceptable in terms of racism. Culture definitely creates their smug behavior.

Sharon was never a good fit for the show. She always had to dominate conversations with her annoying voice and just kept the show bland. I noticed when she wasn't there, the other hosts seemed so much more livelier. And not to mention what Sharon did to Marie Osmond. Producers should replace Sharon with Marie.
I definitely agree with you. I always thought Sharon was rude to Marie on the talk. I knew Marie wasn’t going to stick around on the talk with the abuse Sharon was always dishing out. After Marie left the talk that’s when I stopped watching the talk. I had enough of Sharon loud mouth abusive ways.
