The ONE quality of life thing I really want them to add is a slider for the camera filters so I can adjust how strong the filter is on my dreamsnap. So many times I'll pick a filter for my image and then immediately turn it off because it blows everything out - if I had a slider where I could adjust the amount of crazy bloom, I'd use the filters way more often.
I think it's stupid that you have to add bright shiny lights in every single snap. I get it's a magical game, but not everything needs to have a billion lights and shiny objects to be considered good. I honestly stopped trying because the one with the brightest, blinding pictures get the highest score
I do what I want or else I wouldn’t enjoy DreamSnaps as much as I do. I tried the whole lights thing but I didn’t like it so I scrapped it and submitted what I liked
Agree. I see shots that for me, COULD be really good but they put in SO many sparkly items that it feels cramped and messy. And I know why people do that, because they feel like they have to, and that really sucks. Every picture should NOT need to be the 4th of July to get votes.
I don’t even care that I got robbed now lmbo. The fact you liked that I went with something different which I what I was nervous about makes me feel better!! I’ll keep working every week on my snaps and not give up 🙏🏻👏🏻
I hope the devs look at this video. They need to see how the current voting system seems a bit unfair to those who have worked really hard for theirs. A submission like Princess Kayoss deserved 4k without a doubt!
I also felt robbed, 1200 moonstones. I didn't include a tent, but everything else was woodsy and showed camping paraphernalia... picnic table, bonfire, Kristoff, and wild foliage. It's seems we now have such a large pool of submissions that to get 4k is like winning the lottery.
Serroh I got my First 4000 Moonstones for the Make it Camp dreamsnap I had so much fun with it I .I kind of Modeled it from my experience camping with my family.
A lot of these are very good and IMHO deserved better, but I will say that I almost feel like the need for everything to be sparkly and every centimeter of the frame to contain something makes a lot of shots feel overstuffed (to me). I don't need a sparkle on 20 items, and I understand putting something interesting in the foreground, but it's like you said, the clean shots that look nice and are framed well really appeal to me. I have gotten very inconsistent results, too, putting the same type of snaps out and getting alternately 4000 and 1200. The scoring/voting remains a disappointment.
I know this is going to be unpopular and I’m not trying to upset anyone but I really hate the Dreamsnap feature and what it does to the community who on all other accounts are so friendly, warm and kind. I think it’s ridiculous people spend 5+ hours setting up these photos, complain they are “robbed” when they don’t get as many moonstones as they think they deserve and that there’s so much snobbery about lighting and effects and what position the camera has to be in etc. I refuse to take part, I only do it when it’s part of a star path or something. All joy and fun has been sucked out of it seeing videos being posted about how to do it “properly” and comments saying how much better their photos area from others that got a higher ranking.

@@audiodile also some of the darker pictures are actually pretty and I would sometimes prefer to vote for them over others

@missblueh5314 I agree. It's not even all about the moonstones, it's an acknowledgment of our design skills and effort.
