This movie was my introduction to Lindsay Lohan. Not to mention, it’s one of my favorite live action Disney movies. PS, this movie is the one of the reasons why Rock music is one of my favorite genres

This movie has a good message; life isn't always easy and you had to understand another person to love her. I think this is the moral :D The relation between Anna and her mother is funny and seeing them learning to appreciate the other is cute! The music is cool, the actors are great, the drama is well done. There's only one thing that i don't like, Jake. This guy is not that pretty and soooo boring. His tone is monotone, all he likes is music plus he has a bike. That's all we know about him! This guy is not interresting, charming or brave. The fact that he falls in love with Anna when she's in her mother's body is weird :S It's cool that an adult likes rock like you BUT she looks 30 and your 17. She might be cute but this lady is too old for you Jake X)

I don’t think I would swap bodies with Finn wolfhard that would be weird I would probably freak out if I faint or hide somewhere else but here or somewhere else in any other situation that would be stressful if had to handle all the stress and having to deal with all that anxiety 😟

Jamie Lee Curtis (Tess/the mom) actually learned how to play guitar so she could do that solo piece for the scene at the House of Blues. She was actually playing it!
Honestly I wish they could have done more on Anna suffering as an adult trying to show how both of them do have a hard life but I do appreciate that doctor Coleman struggled being in high school
Love this review. Lindsey Lohan was queen of the teen movies back in early 2000s. Highly recommend confession of a teenage drama queen and Herbie fully loaded if you haven't seen them yet
Great time to watch this. Lindsay Lohan is making a big career comeback and even has a new Netflix Christmas movie coming out in December. I’d recommend watching her other films: The Parent Trap (1998), Life Size (2000), Mean Girls (2004), Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), and Just My Luck (2006).
Fun fact, the Hispanic girl in the band(which is Maddie played by Christina Vidal) was also in a Nickelodeon show that ran from 2001 to 2002 called Taina.

I recently found out that this is a Remake of a Remake of a Movie Adaptation of a Book. I've grown up familiar of a lot of Lindsey Lohan movies: Freaky Friday, Herbie, Parent Trap (cause I'd see it promoted on Disney Channel), Life-Size (I thought that movie was weird), and yeah Fun fact: the hot guy in this movie, Chad Michael Murray is the love interest in "A Cinderella Story" and the actress who plays Stacy in this movie, Julie Gonzalo played the jerk-face girl in "A Cinderella Story." 5:33 He's literally using drumsticks on a guitar
This is very loosely adapted. Basically, it took the "mom and daughter switch bodies" premise and made up the rest. The original movie was more of an adaptation of the book, but still had major changes. The mother was a stay-at-home mom and the daughter was called Annabel and was only thirteen, and the whole book was told from her POV. In the book, she just wakes up as her mother and the girl in her daughter's room still appears to be the old Annabel. It turns out her mother actually made the switch happen (don't ask me how) and took the whole day off school to get a makeover and new clothes while Annabel had to struggle with doing what her mother does most days. Then when she got her body back, she got all the benefits of the makeover, as well as appreciating her mother more.

Oh, and the fact that his father's ghost showed up to tell him that his uncle was the one who killed him and now he has to avenge him. Oh, and the fact that now everyone's watching him because he's started acting crazy either out of stress of what's going on or to hide the fact that he's trying to figure out how to kill his uncle and if the ghost he saw was telling the truth.

i watched the original is with jodie foster the girl, and i like jodie foster but this is better.
I think the beauty of this movie IS the fact that Jamie and Lindsey were so on point playing the other!

There was the original freaky Friday (1976). Then the 80's came out with "like father, like son" (1987) and vice versa (1988).
