Thanks for another fun reaction! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The Barenaked Ladies flow was not intentional but as a lifelong fan who has seen them live a dozen times that made me smile! Now you say it I can hear it!
I generally do set and graphic design myself for my videos unless otherwise credited in the description! I hire help for the more physical aspects like woodworking and electrics, etc. :)

I think you should really listen to "Ad Infinitum" from them eventually. It really shows of Stupes' ability to take a character and create something that perfectly describes them. It really captures what Spamton is, even if you dont know him whatsoever.

@@c.b.- Yeah, it is definitely a hard one to be introduced to Stupendium on; it's an intentional fever dream of a song and I've (sadly) seen at least one Reactor write Stupendium off because that was their intro song and they had no idea what was going on.

Being you asked who the set designer was, i just want to spread the world that this was all mostly designed by Stups themselves. They work in a small team of 3 people for this. The backing track some of the physical props were outsourced but for the most part stupendium and their team build it all themselves.

the fact that you can recognize and break down the steps and factors at work here shows that you have at least SOME qualifications. keep at it, if only so that stage musicals about things you love can keep existing.

Stupendium definitely puts more effort into including the opening, n closings into the context of the video. All the logo changes, doing the endroll in characters. Theme song for only cans, the vending machine of love, is the song your friend recommended ... it's an interesting one.
Also they are definitely skilled in like encapsulating a feel/style/story of subject neatly. They did a verse for full metal alchemist on Mcgwire's anime singing cypher.

Stupendium puts a lot of work into everything they do. If you want to see Stupendium working on an actual shoot they posted the whole making of video of The Toybox! Bts is usually only for patreons, so it's super cool to get the chance to see the whole set build and the making and manning of the Huggy puppet.

If you're looking for a rock song telling a story from Stupendium, "No One's Home" is incredible. The song your friend was recommending is called "Vending Machine of Love".
Never tear yourself down because someone on the internet is better at something than you. Everyone always has something to bring to the table.
(FYI, you ought to do a reaction or two to songs by Dan Bull as well. Dan's song "Far Cry Primal Rap" is amazing.)

Stupes is my favorite music creator by far. They just have this way with music that makes every single one of their songs an absolute banger. I don't think they've ever made a song that I've actually disliked, and that's incredibly rare. Even songs that aren't exactly my jam at first always sneak their way into my good books after a couple listens. They're magic, I tell you.

  • @SteveMND
    @SteveMND ปีที่แล้ว +5

~6:00 Stupendium is well known for their fast-paced 'patter' lines; many of their songs have at least one section with that sort of singing. Their "AD INFINITUM | Deltarune - Spamton G. Spamton Song!" is basically a 5-minute acid trip that feels like it was sung in one breath. You may very well like this one from a storytelling angle as well.

When it comes to the internet I find there's basically a 95%-5% rule. 95% of what you find is deep fried dogshit but that 5%... that 5% is so good that it makes through sifting through all the nonsense not only worthwhile but trivial.

If you want more music go with:
    -only cans
    -loosing my patience
    -The Apex
    -Datastream
    -And so we fall
-The Most Fashionable faction (make sure to see both stupes and harrys endigs, funny/adorable each)
    -The fine Print
    -Gotta build a zoo
-Wake me up before you Goat-Goat
I could go on, but don't wat to go through his whole channel.

Thanks! Since you mentioned looking at Stupes other songs, it's good to know that they do a lot of songs that end up touching on themes of corrupt Corporations and businesses and governments; It's actually a great way to watch how their style has evolved by checking them out. Top of my head order would be; The House Always Wins, both Frostpunk songs, The Fine Print, The Apex, Nook Line And Sinker, Crazy Red, And So We Fall, Datastream, Ad Infinitum, and then that leads to the more recent songs
