Slow Stitching Workshop: Autumn Pumpkin Part 1 | Embroidery & Fabric Collage

Join in for a 5 Day Workshop, starting 9/23/22 to create a festive textile page, inspired by many things autumn: foliage, colors, and pumpkin.
Gather materials, including fabric, embroidery floss, and sewing needles to stitch a unique and intriguing piece. Select traditional fall colors, as well, as unexpected colors, like blues and purples, for a modern take on your autumn stitches.
💓 Video 1 - Gathering materials. Creating a sketch. Design a fabric collage. Stitching the Outline of the Pumpkin. Homework - Stitch the remainder of the pumpkin & stem outline

9/26/22 💓 Video 2 - Stitch the 2 darkest colors of embroidery floss makings around the inner perimeter of the pumpkin segments. Choose the area to make your shading.
9/28/22 💓 Video 3 - Stitch the 2 lightest colors of embroidery floss to fill out the segments. Select the size of the highlights.
9/30/22 💓 Video 4 - Stitch the stem using a neutral color of embroidery floss.
10/3/22 💓 Video 5 - Design and stitch the foliage using complementary colors to the pumpkin, to make the colors stand out. Add any additional details, like stitches, additional fabric, beads, or charms to your work.

Thank you. I use whatever I have in my stash - and some are old without labels... but the for the teals (in darkest to lightest) I think I used 3847, 3814, 3816, and 964. For the Oranges/Rust (from darkest to lightest) 918, 740, 743. I used a dark brown for the outline - 3031, and a cream/off white perle cotton for the remaining stitches. But, please feel free to use what you have, or your favorite colors, as that is what makes your piece personal and unique.
