Sweater faces fabric - the Pattern Emporium Unwind Sweater with the welt pockets made from your red ribbing! Plenty of options for necklines for you, too! Tiger cotton - what about a set? A shirt and a long pair of pants. Would look cool worn with a white singlet top underneath and shirt open. Or a Swimstyle Ritual Shirt Dress? What about a Friday Pattern Company Metra Blazer from the leopard spot? The Daisy fabric - a Dressmaker's Closet Dolly Top? Love your statement prints, too! I think Sew Liberated may have patterns to suit. Can't wait to see your finished makes!
Great ideas and fantastic fabrics! I think the sweatshirt fabric. would make a great Jackson pullover by Helens Closet! You could size up for a larger fit, and they have options for ribbing or self fabric cuffing. Or maybe the match matchy crew neck? I think the stripey fabric would make a fabulous zadie jumpsuit! A wilder gown in that mesh fabric would be incredibleeee! I think it would be cool to make a skirt too if you think you'd get wear out of it. The perfect puff sleeve top from matchy matchy would look lovely in the daisy fabric... your options are great for it! That camo fabric is gonna look stunning in whatever you make it in! Maybe a duster for that panel panther fabric? Can't wait to see!
The black panther fabric would make a gorgeous coat. You would get lots of wear out of it as well. Now I'm tempted to find some jazzy fabric to make a statement coat.
I did the Amelia bomber jacket in a ponte. It was great but I wasn't keen on the way the pockets were made. You might struggle with the quilted fabric. The lining was easy though and I hadn't done that before. There is a sew along on you tube you may want to watch first. Itch to stitch do a nice bomber jacket too.
The roxy sweatshirt, but with some reflective silver piping 😮 great plans, Adelle and inspirational idea. I think I might copy it 😊 the cuffing would look great with the contrasting orange side x do all the things with the striped tiger cotton, you have enough 😊 a suit with a Heather blazer, ankle grazer trousers and some lovely pink or white trainers or sneakers would look amazing 😊 an idea for the wilder gown but you may not like it would be to find a contrasting colour in a similar weight fabric and block it with a chiffon layer, plain layer alternate 🤔 😊
Hi Adele, I made a shirtdress out of that stripy tiger fabric, although I think my fabric was cotton poplin otherwise exactly the same print, one of my staple dresses during summer .Never make plans myself because I’m too much of a mood sewer.beautiful fabrics love them all,and I think you have a doable plans 👍
OMG that embroided fabric is gorgeous!!!! I love the black probably more than the navy! they would make gorgeouse wilder gowns! The Sequin animal print is stunning! I would make a gorgeous wrap over jumpsuit, but I really like the idea of the blazer dress.... where would you wear it though? Daisy fabric would be gorgeous as an Anthea Allen blouse 🙂 Your favouring some of the Vicki Sews patterns this year 🙂xx
Several of your amazing fabrics will be statement pieces! I don’t do the “Make Nine” challenge as I travel too much. If I ever settle down and stay home, maybe I’ll sew up all those amazing fabric souvenir’s that I’ve collected! I look longingly at them when I’m home and have happy memories of purchasing them though…
You have some great fabrics there and ideas. I love the last fabric and the Vogue pattern looks perfect. I did think the Folkwear Japanese traditional pattern might show off the fabric - they have 2 styles in it. I made the shorter jacket for my granddaughter and she loves it - just need to take care as the pieces are all in one front over the shoulder and back piece.. Folkwear is worth a browse as it has some incredible patterns.. There is also the Sew Different Joti jacket. However you have to think where and when will you wear this garment and what do you feel good in. It's an amazing fabric and am itching to see what you do with it. Plus I want that D&G fabric - it's awesome - you could make your McCall pattern in it
With regard to your bomber jacket, it might be prudent to leave which ever pattern you decide on unlined (the quilted fabric is already self lined) That cuff fabric is sooooo perfect for this make. Your fabric by the way IS TO DIE FOR!
What amazing fabrics you have chosen Adele! 😍😍 The faces fabric would look good as a Vikisews Nikki sweatshirt (free pattern) or a Style Arc Brooklyn sweater. The striped fabric would make a lovely Heather blazer and please please please make a Summer in New York dress with the beautiful geisha fabric 🙏🏻🙏🏻 The last fabric is just stunning & would love to see the dress but so looking forward to seeing what you make with it Brilliant plans ❤
Oh that faces fabric is so you. Not keen on the Viki sews pattern. I think the first pattern and just lengthen it a bit maybe. Oh my god that tiger fabric! 😍
That's an interesting way to approach a Make 9. Simplicity just released a brand new oversized sweatshirt pattern S9897. Would work well with your Faces fabric. BTW I only got 2 out of 9 made last year so you're not alone!
Hi Adele! The Ollie bomber jacket is a fab pattern, it comes as lined, unlined and reversible! I've made 2 before, a lined and reversible version and the instructions are fab xx
Good for you for setting goals. I don’t do the make 9 because I don’t imagine I would follow through. I am a Seamwork member. I am determined to make many of their patterns this year. I have cut out the Vicky top. Good luck with your Make 9.
OMG, that wild cat fabric is absolutely STUNNING! And I love the geisha one, tiger on……well, I love them all really! 🤣 I would do a statement coat in the wildcat, what a showstopper that would be! 😍
For a sweatshirt, I like the Love Notions Sloan Sweater. It can be boxy and loose, or more fitted, with wither cuffing at the hem or a shirt tail hem. It's very versatile. That bomber jacket is going to be fabulous, whether you line it or not. Oh, those wildcat panels are fantastic. I can't wait to see them sewn up.
For the first fabric how about Paper Theory LB sweater. Be good to keep it simple to let the fabric do the talking. Fabric 2 - there is a recent Fibre Mood bomber jacket which is oversized. Jumpsuit for the grey sequin ( no 5) . The Vicki Sews pattern for number 7 is my choice. Agree with the Vogue pattern for final fabric. Happy sewing😊. Lynne
Loving your daisy fabric from G&G as a Gilbert! The first fabric would make a fab Pogonip. I’d do the seasons of east it really suits you. Can’t wait to see what you make with the last fabric it’s amazing xx
Hi Adele. I'm not sure if you like a split hem but I recently found a beautiful, boxy style pullover that may work for the sweatshirt fabric. Have you ever tried a Ready to Sew pattern? Take a look at the Jocko Pullover. I'm so tempted to buy it. I believe the gorgeous panel fabric you shared at the end would be beautiful in that Vogue pattern. ❤❤❤
Great way to use stash by having them as your make nine. Have you seen the I Am Irma pattern. I thought it would great made up as the tiger sateen fabric? Also, I absolutely adore the tiger quilted fabric and look forward to seeing that made up. Great fabrics and great plans. X
Great plans. You could try the frikka sweatshirt by fibre mood and not do the hood. Love the tiger quilted fabric going to be perfect as a jacket. I am trying 9 fabrics this year, I have failed miserably with 9 patterns
I have two suggestions. The red faces knit fabric would make the StyleARC Verity knit top. I absolutely love that sweater and have made 3 in large print French Terry. It has a really nice piece you add to the curved hem which I love. I have made my size 10 and it was a bit over sized and then I made the 8 and it was perfect. The white daisy fabric would make a beautiful Gilbert shirt for summer. I have made 3 and love them all. Can’t wait to see what you do with the cat print.
Great statement fabrics 😍 I don’t do a make 9 but have started listing things I need and then search my stash for fabrics and patterns to get inspiration for them before buying any new fabrics/patterns as I was running out of space to store and also making things that I liked but never wore. My wardrobe is bulging with dresses but which I only really wear on hols!
Happy new year Adele. Hope you and your family are well 😊 I've just made the vogue dress and had lots of lovely comments and I found it was quite an easy make. But a jacket of some sort would look fabulous too. I think I'm going to choose 9 fabrics too and see how I go. Trying not to buy any more until the NEC in march. Xxx
I’ve just made the Style Arc Fenix sweatshirt in a grey sweatshirting with a red print on it. It’s definitely oversized and very cosy. I found the arms came out very long on me but I loved the pattern.
Such lovely plans! I have similar plans to make a wilder gown overlay and a black jersey slip dress🤗 I got the fabric for it already. I made a grid for makenine but have deciced not to go ahead with it so I don't feel pressured in any way. I look forward to seeing how all yours turn out🦾🦾
I've tried the Make 9 challenge twice, and basically never did it. Probably won't try it this year-- it feels like too much pressure to make specific things. I'd rather be free-form.
I made the Simplicity bomber jacket, it is unlined and it came together very well. I think the tiger cuffs will be amazing. You could leave unlined and use some leopard/ tiger bias binding on the seams?
Good idea make 9 with fabrics look at the Heather Sweater by NH patterns oversized design no ribbing necessary if you like, perfect for faces fabric 145cm wide fabric needs 1.65 yards fabric 😊FREE PATTERN
I’d suggest not making a jumpsuit from your sequinned fabric. Each time you cross your legs when you sit the sequins would brush against each other. For me I’d need to think about my thighs rubbing the sequins too.
Yes - red piping would look fab on the roxy - I think it would actually draw attention to the red faces - ie draw your eye to all the red shapes
Seriously don’t mess about with your amazing panther fabric, run with the vogue dress to showcase it in all its stunning glory!
The jacket Liz made for her daughter looked great. She may have made it for herself but her daughter liked it so watch out as you have 3 daughters😢❤

Love your statement prints, too! I think Sew Liberated may have patterns to suit.
Can't wait to see your finished makes!
As soon as you held up the geisha fabric I thought of your Seasons of East dress, Adele.
Yes - I think its got to be that one x
Your striped tiger stretch cotton would look really good as a jumpsuit or boiler suit.
The fabric with the faces would go nicely with the pattern Jackson pullover, maybe go up a size.😊
Great ideas and fantastic fabrics! I think the sweatshirt fabric. would make a great Jackson pullover by Helens Closet! You could size up for a larger fit, and they have options for ribbing or self fabric cuffing. Or maybe the match matchy crew neck?

I should watch all the way thru before commenting !! but that cuffing is just great for the bomber jacket - very gucci!!
Love the idea of picking 9 fabrics instead of 9 patterns. This would be my very first make 9.
Good luck :) x
A shirt dress would look so cute in the tiger fabric.
Yes agree thats a great option x
Much better idea to sew 9 fabrics tbh. Love all your fabrics. I've got my eye on the sew over it bomber jacket 😊
ooh SOI bomber - didn't even know they had one :) x
The Vogue pattern for sure for the last fabric.
The black panther fabric would make a gorgeous coat. You would get lots of wear out of it as well. Now I'm tempted to find some jazzy fabric to make a statement coat.
do it xx

This will be our first make 9. We are doing a separate one each and a joint one 😱
Love the white daisy fabric the anthea blouse would be so cute in that. 😍
I think so too! x

You have a splendid stash, and this is a wonderful approach to the Make Nine 2024!
Thank you xx
Tape the pattern pieces for the Roxy sleeves together and make sleeves without the seams.
great idea x
7 wrap dress
Check out Sweet Cheeks Sweater from Pattern Emporium for the first fabric. Perfect for it.
How about the Style Ark Fenix Swaetshirt for the first fabric.

I have just looked at the Jocko its absolutely lovely - its on the list xx
With that 7 meter s you could make a shirt and pants to look like a jumpsuit without the hassle of a jumpsuit
Lovely vlog as usual! Have you considered the Cloud Sweatshirt by the Fabric Store for your oversized sweater - i have made it and love it!
facefabric make as a hoodie
Great way to use stash by having them as your make nine.
Have you seen the I Am Irma pattern. I thought it would great made up as the tiger sateen fabric?
