- Kalka to Shimla in a toy train is a beautiful experience which you should not miss when you are visiting Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. In this vlog I will take you through the scenic and pristine mountains that lies between Kalka and Shimla. I am travelling in the toy train named HIMALAYAN QUEEN 52455 which starts at 12:30 pm from Kalka and arrives at 5:30 pm in Shimla. This railway line between Kalka and Shimla is a UNESCO world heritage site.
The toy train from Kalka to Shimla runs over 864 bridges and crosses over 103 tunnels. It covers a distance of about 95 kilometers. This railway track between Kalka and Shimla was built in 1898 to connect Shimla with the rest of the Indian Railways. Toy train is the best mode of transport to explore the beauty of Himachal Pradesh.
Kalka Shimla Toy Train Booking: Kalka (KLK) Shimla (SML)
The bookings of Kalka Shimla Toy Train can be done online one month prior to the date of your journey. I would highly recommend to book your tickets in advance especially during the peak seasons. You can book you tickets from IRCTC : link www.irctc.co.i.... The bookings can also be done at Indian railways ticket counters in pan India.
