This isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I did it. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
I imagine the sex to noise ratio changes drastically depending on where you attach the test clips 😮
Hoping your LED Chaser toy is Charlieplex'd as well! 6 gpio pins may let it control 30 LEDs (n^2-n).
Some factory fresh, legitimate, SSD/NVMe devices arrive with relocated sectors.
Please do a teardown on the SSD. I want to see if I'm right that there's an SD card in there
I was also wondering that to be honest 😀
Would still be good value for 128 Gb.
Thanks for the Mailbag !
The SSD is not even cheap.. I can get a name brand (patriot) 128G drive for 14 bucks over here. I have seen those "cheap" SSDs from ali express with just an sd-card in them.. but I think in your case it is a real drive.. a tear down (pop the lid) would be quite interesting though.
I'm thinking that COB LED would make a great message notification on my Meshtastic device. 👍
I always look at the "Sex to Noise" ratio specs before buying audio related equipment ‼
i am looking forward to the mic preamp video. cheers
Your videos really show the inflation numbers!, I guess the days of stuff getting cheaper are long gone.
It really is hard finding interesting things for those super cheap prices any more. And it's also getting very hard to find free shipping as well.
Though there are still some bargains to be had for things I already have multiples of...
It’ll turn around eventually.
Thank you.
You can test the actual capacity of the SSD using F3 ( Fight Flash Fraud). Often this kind of devices report a different size than they actually are.
I have good luck with H2TESTW sniffing out fake USB based storage.
I BET that when you will need to replace usb c socket somewhere, nothing from this kit will fit.
Murphy's law does work like that...
I see two teardown candidates. The specs for the mic amp are hilarious but I suspect it has the simplest possible two transistor amplifier that isn’t nearly as efficient as it should be. The SSD likely does have a ssd card in it, but we’ll see.
This is not a cheap Cloudlifter, a Cloudlifter is just an expensive booster :D
True. This type of pre-amp should be a simple opamp circuit in a durable housing.
I'm interested to see what's inside and how well (or if) it works.
@@pileofstuff Tear It Down! :D
Anticipating a report on testing the Sex/Noise ratio. I know you already have the appropriate background music for that.
Sex to noise ratio hahahaha
more teardowns! i wanna see inside the ssd
The LED chaser and SSD peaked my interest.
Interesting how many people say 'peaked' when it's really 'piqued my interest' 🤔
@@stuartajc8141 Bloody French and thier silly spellings.
Sex to noise ratio! Haha So its not _just_ a mic pre amp then. It amplifies your sex.
Ah yes, Chinese translation.
@8:50 open it up, I bet you find a microsd card or something in it.
That's a definite possibility. Hoping to find out in a few weeks.
As others have said, can we get a look inside the SSD please?
Also when testing, try writing more than 128gb, eg 150gb. If it doesn’t fail, it’s lying about its capacity.
That was just a quick go/no-go test for the mailbag. A proper test will take many hours, and will happen in the future.
Did you try pulsing the power on the LED Cob to see if it has more than one mode?
If the power has a few momentary interruptions, it just locks up until it gets a proper power cycle.
Didn't find any other responses.
@@pileofstuffI wondered why the whole thing was lit up at the wrap-up. Thanks for that clarification.
:)
