I'd like to see any school top this facility! It's absolutely gorgeous. This gem of a building will draw extra recruits to East Lansing in the future. For too long Michigan State lagged behind in terms of faculty support. There is no reason for MSU to ever be second rate at anything. Since Tom Izzo and Mark Dantonio the Spartans have been stronger than any Big Ten school in both sports. Now after a brief decline, Michigan State is surging to heights not seen since the glory days of Biggie Munn and Duffy Daugherty. Mel Tucker has an even broader view than Dantonios backyard regional approach. He wants the same star talent that Alabama and other elite SEC schools pull in annually. This fabulous facility is just another cog in an ever growing machine. GO STATE!!!

This is state of the art in terms of college athletic buildings. Can't wait to see it in person.

I'm not understanding the logic of putting a currently active BASKETBALL coach's name on the FOOTBALL building. Unless Izzo is footing the bill.
Izzo footed a very large portion of the bill for the project.
Matt Ishbia footed most of the bill. He was a former msu bball player (on the 2000 national championship team) and is now a billionaire. He made the donation for the facility on the one condition it be named after coach Izzo.

Yea it's a render still for sure though, I mean the text was a lot of basic placeholder "lorem Ipsum" so not actually going to be accurate to finished project

Damn imagine if this type of money was put into East Campus like Holmes or Akers halls... Would be a shame if the majority of students on campus would benefit from something.
