Yeah, that scene can hit any pet owner/animal lover hard, and Putt-Putt's reaction helps with that. But at least we now know that Pep will be okay, plus we don't actually have to worry about our own pets getting lost in time like that.
I didn't even own my own yet (lived in an apartment) and I BAWLED when Pep got lost. I was determined to find him. Pep was as close to my own dog as I could get.
I just want to thank Humongous Entertainment for all you've done for the millenials!!! You've given an entire generation a tremendous collection of games that we'd wake up early on Saturday mornings just to play! Much love to the HE Crew!
Thank you so much for these playthroughs. I have watched through them for years; it is so much better than actually playing the games and waiting for things to load and such -- it's just purely the parts I loved: the sounds, the colors, the vibes, the feeling/ambience. I will never get over these games.
I love how nobody from the prehistoric age, the medieval age or the old west is freaked out when Putt-Putt says he's from the future, they're just like "Oh you're from the future? No big deal"
This is the last game where Jason Ellefson voiced Putt-Putt. I could tell from his voice that he was reaching puberty. Putt-Putt sounded so pre-teen! We miss you, Jason Ellefson!
Played this game a lot as a kid and if you had asked me anything specific about it today, I wouldn't be able to tell you much. Watching this, it turns out every frame and every line of dialogue was firmly seared into my brain.
I really like those singing time devices from the time stream. Not only are they sympathetic towards Putt-Putt's problem, but to me their song basically says that everyone is important to time.
There was something about games, tv shows/movies back in the day… it’s like there was so much care and effort and creativity to ensure children had the most memorable and fun experiences. There was a certain magic and joy then. ;(
Theory: after the fireworks incident Mr. Firebird got into trouble at first, but after finding out that Putt-Putt ending up on the moon was an accident the town decided not to press charges as long as he stopped making fireworks. Mr. Firebird agreed because he wanted to start working on some invention ideas of his anyway. Including the time portal.
@@marcusblackwell2372in theory it would have one but with the context of the games it might not be directly shown however there could be clues in theory, I only discovered putt putt 2 days ago so i am not fully up to date on the lore and advanced theory yet
Fun fact: The title of this game was settled on after the production team tried to come up with pefect ideas for the fourth Putt-Putt Junior Adventure game. The alternate titles were Putt-Putt Goes to the Carnival, Putt-Putt Saves the Universe, and Putt-Putt Learns to Fly (imagine if Putt-Putt Junior Adventure games with these titles were actually developed and released). See the production section of the Wikipedia article for this game for more information.
I loved watching this because I used to play this all the time when I was little and I wish I could still play it, but I don’t have it any more, this game brought back some really good memories😁
Theory: the time portal turned into a time machine and sucked up Putt-Putt's things because Putt-Putt was needed in the past to solve certain dilemmas and save the space time continuum. Namely: Tobias needed a temporary junior conductor to oil his wheels so that he can move along the tracks again, so that the wagons/carriages would have easy access to the other stops which would eventually be civilized. Like the ghost town getting fixed up so that vehicles could live there again. Princess Chassis needed help fixing Woodard, because if he hadn't been returned home in time he would've gotten sick or hungry enough to weaken him and shorten his lifespan enough to prevent his descendants from existing. And Wheel needed help getting home, where he'd stay safe so that he could survive long enough to have descendants as well.
and my god, the tracks that play while Putt Putt is teaching the class -- the dinosaur-level-sounding one and then the future-sounding-one about 1:00:00 in are just so incredible. Heartwrenching in their nostalgia and precision of tone. Gah
I used to play these putt putt's series games all the time back when I was only a couple year old (my dad was into tech and computer back then) but now I'm double digit age how time flies so fast
Better than the Princess with Putt-Putt. The Wiki said that Putt-Putt has a crush on her, but of course anyone can edit a Wiki. Thank goodness too, I mean the Princess is nice and all that but having a love interest from another time era would be too complicated (not to mention too dangerous for the space-time continuum).
@thano myloans about 2013 i believe ? i had a disc for it and always played it on my De pc then lost it later on and then the pc got outdated but i recently found it on steam and play it again!
Oh yes baby! Nostalgic of my old Gateway computer that ran Windows 98. There were only two good games that I played on there, and they were both Humongous games, freddi fish and putt putt! I love this game so much!

It's also pretty obvious that the gold bar is worth more than Putt-Putt's lunch box. He should have just let the old prospector have it, and sell the gold bar and he could have bought fifty replacement lunch boxes.
Actually, as Hondo20132 said in his comment on this video several years ago (which is no longer available for some reason), there is a debug mode for this game, it just needs to be unlocked first after all the paths have been completed, which is kind of weird.
