I bought a black toner for canon mfc820cn on ebay and when I print the print out comes out like this. Lets say you print a black page. Now, take an eraser and erase at of 125 to 135 degrees. then skip 10 degrees and erase again. Do this many times until you are finished with the paper. So, the paper at the end looks like it faded skipped areas from coming from the left side of the paper to the right side. It does not matter from which angle you wanna look at it. The paper has slanted areas that are faded and areas that are darker. Why is that? I called cannon and they tried to help me and it worked a little. The original did not have that problem as far as I remember. Why is this happening and what needs to be replaced? Thanks for the reply.
Hi Sir, I think it’s either laser unit or drum unit problem, try do the cleaning at laser unit, I not too sure how to do laser cleaning in mfc820cn, you can try google the tutorial. Is this only happen to black colour ? What about cyan, magenta & yellow? If only black, you may give a try to replace the black drum only.

Canon ir c3020 E025-0220 how to solve this problem
1. Check if the Small Door can be closed.
2. Close the Small Door and turn OFF and then ON the power to check recovery.
3. Check the installation of the Open/Close Sensor of the Small Door (to see if it’s installed at the correct position).
4. Check the Sensor Harness (to see if the harness is caught, disconnected or physically removed).
5.(If the above measures do not solve the problem,) Replace the Drum Driver PCB (UN4).
