Thanks that helps a lot. At least I think that is the problem. I have taken the whole body apart and can't seem to get it all in back together for some reason and just went and bought another one. I have got two or three dremels that probably might just need new brush's but I didn't want to take them apart in fear of not getting back together correctly.

how do i know when replace the brushes? my grinding stop working, when turned on it makes a loud sound, get really hot, but doesn't rotate the tool

The malfunction of your tool indicates that there's a problem with te carbon pieces. Also check the coil, breaks easily.

what are you supposed to do if the carbon block is stuck in the tool and you only are able to pull the spring out?!

This happened to me and does have an easy solution. You will need remove the cover and then you'll gain acces to extrac kthe stuck carbon by appling pressure thru a front hole. You may need to desconect the board and extract the rotor.
