Nice review but not one chord strummed. Would have liked a small demo to hear, and what strings did you put on ? Was action lowered or remained the same from the box? You said from Craigslist under $200?? Was that from individual or from a music store someone used as a trade-in?

As I mentioned, listening to a guitar recording on the internet is never even close to what a guitar sounds like in person so there is really no sense in doing a "playing" demo. You need to check one out in person if you want to know what it actually sounds like. It was purchased used from a private seller, I had to adjust the action slightly after I strung it up with a medium string guage (13 high E string).
Hey Joe..... it's up to you. Obviously the most important thing is the sound/feel so if possible you should check them out and play them in person, but given this is a mass-produced model I would assume they are all pretty similar. Black does show fingerprints more ;-)
First off, I thought Todd did a very comprehensive review. I bought the natural color top a couple of years back...and I too was amazed at the quality of this guitar for the price. My guitar is from Indonesia, and let me tell ya, Indonesian models are rivaling their counterparts in South Korea...I think they're much better than the ones previously built in China. I've checked out Todd's guitar ''in action'' on the internet and I'm considering buying the sunburst model as well. This a great guitar for the price.
Todd, Great review and good you stick to your guns about dudes asking you to play. You have to check it out. Ran across this yesterday, did just that, decided to get it. Proud owner, not because of your reveiw, but by trying it out. That's what sold me, but your review is spot on. Thank you. I don't have any 2nd thoughts either.
+Manish Karnatak I don't play the guitar because recording it on an iPhone and sharing it on the internet would compromise the quality of sound so much that it's not worth it as a reviewer or listener. As always, I encourage you to check one out for yourself before deciding if the sound is right for you (every guitar sounds/feels different)
Thanks for sharing AgReviews. I'm not sure why they are different, but my truss rod adjustment is definitely at the sound hole. There is no hole or access underneath the truss-rod cover on the headstock...purely there for cosmetic reasons.

I learned how to play guitar on this it's a great quality I still play it and I love it.

It was already set up pretty well when I got it from the previous owner. I did need to adjust the truss rod a bit when I changed to heavier strings.
Needs a bone nut and saddle, bone bridge pins, then will sound really good❤

Ive got this model and the truss rod adjustment is at the neck.
I have one also and under the cover there is not an adjustment hole. Mine is in the sound hole.

Na the saddle is Compensated PVC and I'm assuming the nut is also PVC. You ain't getting bone for that price dude.
