As they grow and get a larger body frame, their hair can start "matting together" in tangles that need to be "cut out" with scissors. I ought to know, I had a pure breed Persian Cat for 14 years. My next cat will be a British Short Hair Breed.

I don't know what video you were watching! I saw a frightened tiny kitten trying to extricate herself from the water and being blown away by the hair dryer. Very rough handling of a tiny baby!
@@blondienhouston4825 cats do need to be washed, you know. especially when they are dirty, so if its a longhair, like bella, or my lovely 5 month old kitten trixie, (yes, we do have to wash her sometimes because we let her out.) its ok to use a hair dryer or let them dry naturally. but i mean, they were holding the kitten during drying, not letting it blow away? its not too harsh. they wont suddenly get anxiety, trauma and PTSD from it..?
