If your really craving for something different but still Grand Strategy, have u thought about Stellaris? I play the console edition and it's pretty similar in vibe to games like HoI, TW, or Civ (I would say it's like a Hearts of Iron LITE, but u conquering the galaxy instead of the world.)

I had a Greek Ironman save recently, initially went all infantry and artillery / anti-tank, the Greek soldiers were crazy strong. Eventually tallied up my casualties vs enemy after a decade of war, 1 million Greeks lost, to 20 million combined enemy casualties. Hellas was hella strong, it was one of my favourite saves ever.

The Greek 'anti-country strategems' are really handy though, 90 days of an extra 5% attack and 15% defence came in useful for a planned push.

How about you tell your subscribers, who sent you their disasters, to write in their email, if they want to complete the rest of the savegame, when you have saved it or if they want you to completely end it. Because I don't know if everyone, who sends you their disastersave, wants to end their game. But I could be wrong.

6:04 thats how the ai cheats, they ignore manpower and supply for recruitment, only take it for resupply, I often play as some south american nation, pick the smaller ones with less industry and manpower than mine first and all of a sudden they got the same number of units as germany... as columbia reuniting bolivia I had to fight peru, build up my industry like crazy and then had a 5 years of war only moving one or two provinces forth and back until I build enough bunkers to wear them down enough to move forward and repeat the process.. I even got supply from 10 other countries including germany, wich was the only thing keeping my troops alive, despite my industry beeing 4~5 times as large as perus and me having no supply chain issues, a good navy and a supperior airforce with hundreds of cas... in the end i got them with sea invasions distracted enough to let the front weakend enough to push and thats how i got them, when the sea invasions were over they death stacked and I took them out with tanks and constant forced attacks

Not that I want to play that save, but everything is overstacked in USSR in '45 and the entire world cannot push. What would you crack the Soviets with? Strat bombers and nukes?
Just a solid 12 width infantry with support companies is really reliable. You can throw in an artillery division for more attack. From what I've seen you don't really want to go under 10 or over 20, and everything in between is viable.
Bruh, this pretty much happened when I played democratic Greece doing megali idea. Got my entire Amy encircled and had to rush a cavalry unit to save them lol
@@Matt_Alaric crete, santorini, mykonos, zakynthos, Rhodes, Lesvos... To name more then a few. Was in Corfu for my buds wedding. Its not a party island. Being best man and looking for adult fun was a chore everyone was like "go to mainland" lol smh

Hey I was curious if this was ever thought of but does anyone know if they will ever add chemical warfare to the game. I know Italy used it a lot in Ethiopia and could be an interesting idea for a new type of plane maybe

@@gustavgustav2670 I mean you could just imagine that when you disband, the majority of the army routes and only 20% of the men gets back home by dropping their equipment and perhaps steal civilian clothing. But I agree it still feels kind of cheap, and that explanation doesn't always quite work as well, especially if the units are not very close to your borders anyways. Apart from losing all equipment you also lose all the experience the men have cumulated over time, so it's not like it's a complete free win even though it seems cheesy as hell
6:05 just to know this is historically correct because GERMANY was going for RUSSIA and GREECE was beating up ITALY in ALBANIA so hitler was forced to help ITALY with the army that he had (the one that was made for RUSSIA) so they literally send all their panzer divisions xd (and in crete they sent all their paratrupers that they all got killed because crete is like a greek version of wild west 😰😳😑)

He already lost 6 divisions from the start and did the focus to late so the axis were knocking he should have went and sent an army from Cyprus to naval invade or defend since the French usually steamroll the Turks from Syria.

You’re forgetting an important bit of detail here it’s called “Panzer I” which means “Tank I” or “Tank 1” so there’s a model number after the word “Panzer” but you never see a German tank called “Panzer Panzer” which is essentially what he said. It’s always Panzer followed by a model name or number. Try again.

It always shocks me when he doesn't just disband encircled divisions. You are missing out on tons of manpower and equipment.
