At day 150 he looked like a big kitten. At day 200 he looked like a killer. Wow, what a change. Such beautiful creatures.
What exactly makes him look like a killer?
@@alifc1082 I think Killer is a bit strong but they might of meant as in hunting their prey kind of killer, so Hunter or Predator would of been better.

At day 150 he looked like a big kitten, bro, at day 1 he already looked like 2 full grown Cats....and at day 150, like 300 full grown cats....do you know the size of a big kitten???
@@alifc1082 The difference in the stare in his eyes. I thought the same thing. At 150 days he was still a kitten, but by day 200 his whole demeanour has changed.
Amazing how they can go from being completely vulnerable little striped potatoes to 100% lethal (yet beautiful) in less than a year (about 10 months).
At 10 months he’s still a young cub though it is pretty large. The big cat gets larger after that too. It takes them a few years for females actually to be a full size adult cat and for males it takes them 4-5 years to reach maturity.

@@hustle_simmons I mean, if they're unreleasable and you're worth >$100M, and can keep them in spacious and secure areas, with professional handlers and a dedicated vet, why not? Just know that they may really love you and you can do everything right, but one day you probably will get ganked like Roy Horn.

It's a wild animal it belongs in the WILD.. this is not a freaking house-cat.. doesn't matter if you provide it food or space outside.. he belongs in the Jungles, to live his Natural life.,,

My gosh, hes beautiful! His stripes as he gets older are gorgeous! Him sucking on the binky as a baby was precious! I just hope he has animal friends to play with... im assuming at a sanctuary he does. Would've been neat to hear more of his story and how/why he ended up there.
He got there because he was rescued. He cannot have animal friends because he grew up with none. You can't put a wild animal with a domesticated animal. The animal in the wild will attack and kill the domesticated animal because the domesticated animal doesn't have the tools or resources to fight for themselves in the wild, since they are domesticated. Per the sanctuary’s website “As a neutered adult male, our goal would be to introduce him to his own kind and that will depend on personalities of each cat.”
So, not outside the realm of possibility, but it is highly dependent on many factors.
Ellen, like you I'm wondering if he has other animals to interact with and how did he end up in the sanctuary. I'm so thankful for these sanctuaries around the world because they offer protection for so many animals.
Why neutered? Is there a difference between a sanctuary and wildlife preservation? I.e. do sanctuaries focus on providing best life for current occupants, but neuter if non-endangered species?

I just knew that was going to be Dash! I have been following his progress at the sanctuary for months. Such a special little baby he was -he's a big boy now!!🐅🐯💕
Not sure why he has been alone but will he have a friend someday? did they say?
@@hoppas77 how about checking out the wildcat sanctuary in Minnesota they got a great TH-cam channel as well as a website and you can catch up on Dash there. I believe that he's still alone in the enclosure but I think his mom is right next door so if there's ever an opportunity they can safely put cats together they will but if they can't they won't they're really responsible at that sanctuary. Dash has grown into a magnificent tiger. While it's bittersweet he will never live his life in the wild, he sure has an amazing place to call home & is receiving excellent care!
Jungle IS his home… it just they couldn’t find its mum that’s why it’s at “home”
Survival in Jungle is way more difficult.
I thought they have some kind of training to sheltered wild animal when they'll be released to nature later

@@uthopia27 sometimes .. other times they are too socialized with humans and it would be dangerous to the tiger to release them .. because they will approach humans that don’t know they are tamed and the tiger will be injured when it is found too close to homes
It would be nice if the home sanctuaries are required to provide more natural habitat and larger spaces to explore and exercise… the small enclosures are very depressing looking

Dodo did a original video of him when he is 6 weeks old - 27M views, I think the big cat sanctuary save him from a life of abuse in roadside zoo. He is in Minnesota nowadays

Love and care even from a non biological mother, but a kind a caring person can surely make a fragile tiny and not even eyed-opened tiger cub into an awesome adult tiger through a year. That is amazingly shows the God's given talents which has put inside his every single creatures.

What a beautiful and majestic animal. Its so hard to believe that because of our utterly careless, callous and cruel behaviour they are now endangered animals. We should be ashamed of ourselves.
I totally get why people would want pet tigers. When I was 6-7, I thought the cubs were precious. However, it’s not fair for the animal to live a domestic life that it’s not ready for. It’s a sad truth that tigers will very likely go extinct in the wild in the near future, and will only exist in captivity 😞
If it will happen. We should stop poaching and make a law which can stop poaching once and for all and then see if tigers can breed and if it can then they can re populate and by 2100 we can control the tiger population. But it is likely not possible but I have hope
He is so cute as a baby and so beautiful as a full grown tiger. So sad that he didn’t have his mama to learn from.

Amazing job you did with him. To offer so much love and care and help him grow healthy and beautiful. You still need to be careful all the time around him, his natural instincts are still there, mabe in a dormant state, but still there, you cant tame that and they can kick in at any time

Omg such a cute video! When he was a cub and couldn’t open his eyes crying I wanted to cry myself so adorable! 🥺 When he became a kitten and could walk I wanted to pick him up and cuddle him, when he could go outside I wanted to run around and play with him when he was full grown I wanted to spoil him with all kinds of toys and food! It’s truly amazing to see the transition and innocence of life in just 1 year Dash is such a beautiful and amazing boy! 🙂

Safely growing, the sad thing (apart from the encloser ) is that he doesn't have an other tiger's company, he didn't have one to play with... But loved, safe and well cared for
Tigers are solitary. They may spend a bit of time with other tigers in the wild to have babies, but they spend most of their time alone. Socializing with the human and other animals is more than enough!!
