Interesting. I'm almost 100% opposite on everything zeke says about witcher 3. I think if they'd made it like he wanted, it would've been a generic and boring yet-another-non-story-rpg. Almost everything he criticised was part of what made it so good.
its his 2nd best game of the year despite his criticism.

When it comes to the discussion of scaling in content heavy (open world) games, I think the ideal solution currently is to have the main story in games scale with the player, but have the world not scale.
This way the power of the player is not invalidated by the world and the importance and struggle of the main storyline is maintained.
The good thing about VR is that there's only 2 BIG ones so far, which are the HTC Vive and the Playstation VR. The problem: if those 2 combined, they would fill in the others issues. 3 years later and VR is still taking off, but at least there is evidence that it isn't just a motion control fad.
To me, Fallout 4 was pretty average as a game. As a Fallout game, thoroughly disappointing. It was Fallout 3 with better writing, and I hated Fallout 3.
Rockstar could come out saying "Bully University Edition" coming out within a month and the hype would blow everyone away.
Syndicate with the twins is actually ok. Unity was the one that was "ow my heart". I can totally understand JP's point. I maintain AC2: best story, AC3: best gameplay, ACO: best open world

Maan they could've easily fixed the problem with Witcher 3 by setting enemies to a certain level to start and only scale them if the player levels a lot higher than them.

love yall and everything you do BUT imho it should be reversed of what yall did here: you each start at 10 and go around the horn, if someone else has your pick on their list (in a higher position) you PASS, and then talk about it later when you get to the person that had it at the highest. That way you still only discuss things once but 1) you don't spoil anyone's list ahead of time and 2) you talk about games at highest point where they occur on any list. The way you have it here everyone's top 3-5 will just be "and of course this game that we discussed an hour ago" instead of a big reveal and deep chat.

First time I have seen some of these guys in full body shots and it's funny. If JP is the baseline at 6'2", Cohh is much tinier than I had pictured based only on his face, and DJWheat much bigger.

The only obvious and logical way to push VR is PORN. It's the elepant in the room. I know it. You know it. Everyone is thinking it. You know what pushed VHS over Betamax? Porn. You know what drove the explosive growth of the internet? Porn. 360 degree cameras that put you in the middle of the action? Add a fleshlight/vibrator attachment and you are going to sell millions of units at $1000-$3000 a pop. And that's not counting the sales on content, whether studio produced or livestreamed, and all the potential accessories. Virtual prostitution is going to be a thing in our lifetime guys, whatever your moral stance may be.
Yes, sports is cool. Sightseeing is nice. But porn is where it's at. Once we get the technology out and the cost down, then we can talk about VR business meetings, VR dating, VR whatever.

Why do you have headphones on when your all in the same room? Why not just setup a good mic and make it more natural.
+Jason X I'd say that would very hard to do given the location. 1/The table is very low, mics would be very far. 2/ We can't see it, but there's probably a lot of people around them 3/ The room looks very big (think open space), so I can't even begin to think the amount of echo/reverb' there would be. Remember that radio/podcast are done in small, dedicated studios
