So I started watching you guys at Episode 67 and watched up to 72. Then I went back to where you got the free boat and watched every episode so now I am caught up.
Fantastic job and please don’t change a thing about the way you present your episodes or yourselves.

Just finished binge watching all of the freebie videos to date. You guys have me wanting to get my own sail boat. Sadly no clue what I would be getting myself into, at least as far as laws and requirements are concerned. The work I don’t think I would have an issue with, with the exception of the electrical. Love the channel!

"A BRIEF REMINISCENCE OF KEY WEST FORTY YEARS AGO."
I lived in Key West during the winter of 1981. I was fourteen years old and lived with my parents on a sailboat anchored outside of Garrison Bight.
Key West was "A LOT!!!" different back then. First of all, the anchorage that we were in was empty. We were practically the only boat there for the entire winter, if you can believe that! Now, it's a totally overcrowded mooring field that you have to pay to stay in. Back then, Sunset Key was completely undeveloped. Hippies would sail out there at night and build bon fires on the beach and party. Fleming Key was still an active Navy base. Among other things, it was a training ground for Navy Frogmen. We would occasionally see them from our boat. Zodiacs would fly across the water at top speed while Navy Frogmen would fall out backwards in full scuba gear to complete their training regimens. It was a total trip to watch, especially for a fourteen year old kid. There were two movie theaters on Front Street near the intersection of Duval. One was an X-rated Theater the other was an Art-House Theater. I remember watching a lot of Reggae Films from the 70's there with my parents. Jamaica had elected a leftist government in the early 70's and Reggae music had recently emerged from the underground to gain popular mainstream appeal. I don't remember any cruise ships there either.
At the time, it all seemed mundane and everyday, but looking back from the vantage point of forty years into the future, those were heady times and the times were rapidly a changin'!

Nice friday video. Once the boat is done and you've done a few years of cruising, remodeling an OLD house would make a great channel. I've never made it to Key West, but this part looked pretty cool, not too touristy.

Why don’t you have your boat
Documentated through the USCG, I think it would cheaper than paying a yearly license fee to the state of FL.
I inspected several boats on the Ohio River for USCG documentation all the owners said itway less expensive to do documentation than to pay all the fees associated with various state registration. That was 10 years ago maybe things have changed.
