I'm only an amateur photographer in the sense I've done a couple of events, a wedding and some promotional type 'paid' work. however in my previous life in IT and my current life doing bespoke woodworking I 110% sympathise and agree with the sentiment, I've had jobs fall through because I refused to dance to the clients tune which I felt compromised my own professional integrity annoyingly in some instances I wanted to save the client serious amounts of money was a large part of my own motivation to do the work a certain way.
Fortunately I learnt the lesson in my many years in IT sometimes I cannot be chewed with the stress of a job that doesn't sit well with me and I won't lose sleep over politely declining and walking away Afterall as you say one door closes another opens.
Great video, well edited and your channel deserves way more love than it's currently getting, after flicking through a few of your videos I'm now subbed.

Thank you for sharing your story. It gives me a great amount of comfort to know other people walk a similar path as mine. Also I appreciate the sub, welcome to the journey! 🫶

"It's like we almost leave no room for things we actually want to do" is spot on. 👏👏
