BJP promised 15 lakhs to every Indian from the black money deposited in Swiss banks. Not a single penny has arrived. Congress's "purported promise" of redistribution of wealth (if they even said that), would be equally hollow. In all seriousness, we need a stronger Congress party and opposition. Mr. Modi should not receive the kind of majority which makes him believe he is God or above God (which many of his party workers already believe he is). A strong majority is always bad for hubris - see examples of Nehru, Indira and Rajeev Gandhi. A strong majority is what caused a dysfunctional government and eventually the fall of those leaders. I'd prefer Mr. Modi to humbly serve the country for however long he is capable of without getting into God complex.

Both Rahul and Sachin have matured as politicians. These two will be great statesmen in future. BJP may come by some EVM khela this time, but hard work of congress will show up in this election. Rahul Gandhi has now earned his position in the party with hard work. Sachin has been his best team member so far.

That's the dumbest way to look at it. Only a delusional chamcha sees it that way. Many of the leaders that worked for congress left and didn't join BJP. They specifically said that they are leaving because of incompetence of rahul gandhi and how they are destroying the party just to have their family's hold on the party. A lot of chamchas trashed the people that spent their entire political careers working for the congress party just because they want some king of reforms in the party and maybe free the party from gandhi family's handgrip a little.

The fact that you point out that Half the Hindus are pro opposition point out that at least the Majority does not half a herd mentality and does not vote on religious or communal lines. The biggest concern for a genuine BJP voter is that Congress/ TMC/ SP kind of parties have been evidently playing the religion and caste card and look at the living conditions of the minorities . I have travelled across the country and observed that Congress and Opposition have never educated the minority masses and allowed them to stay poor . Look at the number of Roads , Monuments , Institutions named after Gandhi family . Why ? India needs a strong center and it has suffered years of appeasement politics . If Congress and opposition can provide it let them share their vision and agenda and proof of concept. The fact that for years Mecca trips were funded by govt at Tax payers money suggests the tolerance the country has been demonstrating.
