Very interesting video but one major problem. Correct use of the torque wrench. You will notice the worker use the air gun to initially tighten the lug nuts. When he uses the torque wrench (14:18) NONE of the nuts turns BEFORE the wrench clicks to confirm that the correct torque specification has been reached. This is a rookie error. There is no way of knowing what torque the nuts were tightened to by the air gun. Over torqueing nuts can cause broken studs.

Länger als eine Stunde habe ich selten gebraucht.ALLEIN.
Nice to see a truckztire sized tire machine in action. in St. John's NL, Canada I've only seen these big ones mounted manually. The machine is not much faster but it would save injuries. Cages are required here during inflation (but like this German operation) rarely actually used. Acc smaller tires for autos and pickup trucks are machine mounted and balanced. These guy are tough!
Sitting in front of that tire while it airs up is a bad idea. So many accidents causing death from tire explosions. A tire cage should be required in that truck for safe practice.

Impressive set up but I would not be that close to an inflating tyre, I have seen what can happen if it comes off the wheel . I don't think this would be classed as a safe working practise in the UK
@@networkedperson Years ago, I saw a guy inflate a tractor tyre, 25 psi, it came off the bead and the volume of air made his eyes bleed. Split rim tyres are lethal if they are not seated right. Germany has some strange dangerous methods of work, its surprising as they seem switched on people
they are not split rim wheels they are what we in the U.K call super singles no need to use a cage for them just use your brain ... it is far more dangerous the fact that this is happening at night right next to a live lane.

This includes some light CV tyres which are inflated to around 70 psi and may cause serious injury in the event of failure. The extra measures include using a restraining device such as: A strong, firmly-secured tyre inflation cage, a secured horizontal stool and associated clamping mechanism, or a portable restraint.
@@jamesmckenzie3532 As a truck driver and truck mechanic in past ive always seen our tire fitting service using cages even with modern european truck's and trailer's wheels. Because they told me even solid rims can blow up(its usually bad quality of a tyre itself the reason). So thats why im asking. Its may be that you dont need it if you're mounting only brand new tyres, but not having it at all looks dangerous to me.

Surely The torquing up with the torque gun should NOT pass the recommended toque settings for the wheel nuts, the FINAL settings should be reached with the Torque wrench !.

The drivers in Europe would have a heart attack if they had to do what Australian drivers have to - they are responsible for their own tyres and carry spares and change them on the side of the road in heat up to 44 degrees centigrade. A lot of the road trains can have up to 124 tyres and run on dirt roads in the "outback" to mines and carry the ore to ports. Those wheel nuts were over-torqued by the air rattle gun, the nuts did not move before the torque wrench clicked indicating the nuts were too tight to start with.
Tightening of the nuts by air powered unit, I would expect pressure to be set to required torque. Manual checking was a safety check that correct torque had been applied.
@@raymondlower5920 That air unit was not of a type where you can dial torque settings, those nuts were overtightened. Every different manufacturer of wheels and hubs have different torque settings for their products. Tyre service people are renowned for over-tightening wheel nuts.

Kotflügel weg und wenn überhaupt nur mehr Teile des Reifens auf der Felge. Dieser Reifen war kurz davor in Flammen aufzugehen. Zum Glück hatte es vermutlich der Fahrer noch rechzeitig gemerkt und den sicherlich schon qualmenden Reifen noch soweit kühlen können, das es nicht zum Brand kam. Das hätte ganz schlimm enden können, der war voll mit Benzin
Ja, die automatische Übersetzungsmaschine ist mal wieder am Werk, wie kommt man auf "Reifenpanne am Tankwagen - mobiler Reifendienst im Einsatz". Sie wissen auch, was das orangefarbene Gefahrenzeichen bedeutet, denn dieser Tankwagen transportiert Benzin, und ja, ich habe zufällig ADR gehabt. Wenn du wirklich anfängst, richtige Fremdsprachen zu lernen und korrektes Niederländisch und Englisch zu schreiben, ist das schon etwas, aber du kannst diese ganzen Übersetzungen auch einfach weglassen, es gibt keinen Grund dafür! Dieser Tankwagen hat einen platten Reifen und keinen kaputten Reifen, noch nie davon gehört und es ist auch kein niederländisches Wort, und im Englischen heißt so etwas einfach Flat Tire und nicht Broken Tire, ihr nervt mich wirklich zu Tode, die Videos sind in Ordnung, ich schaue sie mir gerne an, aber diese Übersetzungen, Mann, tut was dagegen!

where is a cage for pumping up a tire? Do they have a spare mechanic as well?
Cage is not required for a solid rim. Only for split rims. They take a different tyre and a tube.

The torque wrench was purely for show. No bolt turned.

am Lastwagen werden grösstenteils nur die Lenkachsen gewuchtet, Antriebsräder und Reifen am Anhänger und Auflieger nicht.

Но если ты конечно в европах всяких то можно сказать «это не мое дело» и сидеть на попе ровно пока тебя не «спасут». Посреди оживленной трассы, ага. На легковой если едешь и колесо проколол - тоже наверное ручки не пачкаешь и простым звонком решаешь эту проблему. Только времени и денег потеряешь кучу и график поездки сорвешь. А так да. Все в шоколаде.
