Great review! Sold my Discover 1 because it was a little too big for my 5'7" 78 year old body. I ordered a blue Fold 1 but have to wait 1 month for it. Thanks guys.
I bought a gray Fold 1 at a nearby bike store here in Spokane WA for my son.The ebike is awsome, it's sturdy and well built. I was able to hit top speed of 31mph. I'll probably buy another one in blue for me.
Thanks for this review. I bought one a few weeks ago and so far I like it very much. I found it hard on bumps, but haven't adjusted the shocks yet...will figure that out later.
Would you pick the veloctric Or the mokwheel slate or the magnum Premium 3 16:44 when it comes to overall performance? I wish there were more videos for all these events that covered which is the most reliable down the road and has the least amount of problems and what problems they consistently have. I will be doing more street and easy trail riding. Also which one has the easiest step through. I find that a lot of the bikes that have the battery incorporated into the front frame limit the amount of space to step through
A recommendation depends on what you prioritize. The Fold 1 felt generally more comfortable and easy to pedal, but it wasn't the best hill climber. The Slate is powerful and has a torque sensor but doesn't offer leg extension for tall riders. The Premium 3 has an easy step-through and network of dealers/mechanics but a somewhat dated design and a higher price. Around the office we'd likely go with the Velotric.
I can’t decide between this and the 3.0. Do you know how velotric ‘s customer service is compared to lectrics. I have a Greenbike USA bike but the customer service is non existent
Do you own the HovBeta? That looks like an amazing bike. I was wondering how that compared to the Engwe Engine Pro 2, but it sounds like Hov is probably your pick.
One cool thing to note about the HovBeta is that it's a class 3 folding bike with a torque sensor. Which is definitely rare for class 3 folding e-bikes.
For affordable, standard folding e-bikes that does the job? Sure. For premium, yet still relatively affordable and not over the top e-bike, no. That title belongs to the Hovsco Hovbeta, a premium folding e-bike that is Class 3, 750 watt hub drive with 85Nm of torque powered by a torque sensor and hydraulic brakes. It is essentially everything an Aventon Sinch 2 is but on steroids! You have yet to review that one and its been out for over a year!
I messed up and didn't respond to your comment here - mines in the open. But agreed with you on how amazing the hovbeta seems and asked if you owned it and if you had any comparison insight with it to the engine pro 2.
Ah, speed-targeting style of PAS. My least favorite, so a pass for me, though the rest of its features seem pretty good for the price. Thank you for that information though as it isn’t available on their product page! It’s helpful in winnowing down the choices.
Im disappointed that Velotric raised their prices across the board without much warning. I would have bought the Fold 1 at $999 but ride1up or lectric hasn’t raised their prices yet. I wished they would given people more/longer notice. Adding that the Fold 1 is sold out and not available makes the decision to buy a Portola much easier

Thanks for watching! We hope you love your new bike!
You guys make such thorough videos!
Thanks so much!
This convinced me to buy one this week.
Thanks for watching! We're glad it helped!
Nice to see each PAS level well spaced
Also, on hills it does a really good job. We live in a very hilly city and as long as you pedal in combination with pas 4-5, it will do great.
Well… they took your advice and raised the price to $1,399 (now on “sale” for $1,199)
Thank you so much 😅😅
Oh no! We'll have to reach out and see if the $999 price was a pre-order promo. It's still a pretty solid deal for $1200.
@@ElectricBikeReport if so
It should have been presented as such… I guess it’s Ride1Up for us 😁😁
@@ElectricBikeReportprobably because of e-bike tariffs.
Glad others think just like I do. The $200.00 bump hurts for many reasons besides the money. Great videos you guys!
@@blackwhirlwind1245i received an email from them confirming it was because of tariffs :/

How does it compare to the Portola? If you had to pick one, which would it be? Any chance you could do a head to head video?
We will have a comparison of those too coming soon!

Is this bike good for taking a 7-8 to school on… the back space looks kind of small on video but haven’t seen it in person
Can you guys please do a throttle only battery range test?
How come I can’t find any reviews on the Envo urban flex bike
How bout range test on pas2 or 3 seems more viable😮
We give the high and low bookend values with the expectation that PAS 2 or 3 would fall between them.
I'm considering the Eahora Juliet, do you have a video or an opinion on this bike?
We haven't had the chance to test that one yet, but we'll see what happens in the future!
Do you own the HovBeta? That looks like an amazing bike. I was wondering how that compared to the Engwe Engine Pro 2, but it sounds like Hov is probably your pick.
We haven't tested either of those. We'll have to look into them!

lectric xpress review coming out soon?
Hopefully soon, but we haven't received it yet. Currently testing the ONE.
@@ElectricBikeReport That's surprising you guys haven't received it yet but other less popular reviewers got that chance. Lectric gotta do better
@@BigB0ss00my Lectric xp 3.0 gave me an e 10 code after one week of ownership and 56 miles that’s why I looking for a new folding bike
I believe you stated that this bike was the 3rd bike in your 3rd favorite foldable Ebikes. What sits at #1, #2 and the other #3's? Thanks!
It's definitely one of our favorites! We also highly recommend the Lectric XP 3.0, the XP Lite, and the Ride1Up Portola.

The Hovbeta is also $700 more than the fold 1. Not really on the same playing field.

White is still in stock. Our contact says they should be restocked here pretty soon on the others!
The bike is not 995. The bike is 1195 reviews haven’t even finished coming out and they already went up $200.
That's still a good deal, but of course it was much better at $999.

The portola a better bike i’ve had one for three months now great no problems very fast
