Great demo, but I would like to have seen the transmitters actually hidden on the body to replicate real world scenarios under film/television conditions.

Thanks for your feedback and glad you enjoyed the video! This is a comment we see pop up fairly frequently and we agree, in future we will be conducting further tests in real world scenarios.
These tests are purely to measure the absolute range possible - and in the interest of fairness with our other walk tests we keep the format the same for all so we/you can draw comparisons.
Keep an eye out for future videos - we definitely have plans for that sort of test!

Thanks for posting this video. If you don't mind me asking what antenna model are they using for the 822?

We are using the Lectro supplied whips in the bag and LNN2 passive sharkfins on the studio RX, the same as we use for all our walk tests.

I wish they kept walking the D2 range instead of stopping in middle of bridge when the HDM was done.

Actually the D2 was getting flaky at that point, it would have carried another 50m or so, but would be unusable.

@@RaycomTV Good to know. I am long time Digital Hybrid user, and was looking for a D2 walk test in comparison. The D2 range would appear short of “other” analog systems you have tested in the past. This is useful information, thanks for video and reply.

We did a Digital Hybrid vs. D2 walk test here where we walked further: th-cam.com/video/q4bJPI8LnwA/w-d-xo.html

@@RaycomTV Indeed, albeit without vector diversity which is unique to the 822. A closer match to the 411 in comparison.

We'll schedule a 822 walk without the distraction of HDM and the bag RX for some point in the not too distant future. We enjoy doing these so any excuse! :)
