How would you sentence Willy Wonka?
Depends, if he pleads guilty, innocent, or insanity
30 years in jail for going nuts and then 20 more years for attempted murder
For making violet turn into a blueberry
It's even worse in the books - he actually uses the Oompa Loompas for product testing! In "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator," the medical trials of his Wonka-vite youth serum makes some of them so young they haven't even been born yet!
@@HarrisonPeloso wait, hold up. You give him 30 years for going nuts. But 20 years for attempted murder?
My gosh. This really was hilarious. I knew Willy Wonka would for sure be in jail since the factory has so many health hazards
Finally wonka characters are going in jail
Willy Wonka pays the Oompa Loompas in Cocoa Beans
It's even worse in the books - he actually uses the Oompa Loompas for product testing! In "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator," the medical trials for his Wonka-vite youth serum makes some of them so young they haven't even been born yet
Fun fact Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory actually has 60 O.S.H.A violations.
That’s still crazy to think about
Matpat
Except it took place in a time when OSHA wasn’t a thing
and none of them matter since OSHA is America and Wonkas factory is in England
6:30, the government considers it to be an extraterrestrial spaceship piloted by men from Mars and Venus. Because that’s what Willy Wonka told them it was. (Yes, I know that’s from the books and not this movie.)
For the guy who Charlie’s working for do paper routes qualify as child labor and for the kids who were willing to do corporate espionage if Walker doesn’t put charges on them, will they get any punishment and lastly for Wonka if someone did something after they said no, how much liability would he charge a second about the whole golden ticket thing, considering a kid said it and I don’t think a kid would realistically that kind of Wonka bars isn’t required. Would he be charged for that? Plus the only other way is to
Steal the Wonka bars, and I don’t think corporations would approve of something like that
As someone who just finished up a production of Charlie in the chocolate factory (as Willy Wonka) I can say this punishment hold up pretty well in other versions of the story.
For mike and violet it could be conisidered that it is mutilation since violet is being mutilated into a blueberry and mike hes being multilated and turned tiny
Charges dropped though as they disregarded safety instruction
True that....
Does Wonka serve his sentences consecutively or concurrently?
And this is why I prefer Johnny Depp to play Willy Wonka, hopefully things turn out well for him in his prequel.
Funny about the 2005 version, that he felt guilty when the gum turned violet into a giant blueberry and then ran off
Johnny Depp is actually the highest person in one. My TV flattened. Augustus almost killed in a chocolate lake, and a tube, violet, blueberry, and still be the same ones with the Oompa Loompa, so they would be facing the same, if not worse punishment.
What? This has literally nothing to do with the actor who played him- And he's still very much a criminal in the 2005 version.... What are you talking aout
me too
Wonka is a prequel of the Gene Wilder movie, not the Johnny Depp one.
You do realize that the person claiming to be Slugworth isn’t actually Slugworth
5:19, “they’ll be all right and they’ll go back to being their normal terrible selves but maybe a little bit wiser for the wear” They survived
well maybe Mr wonka could sell his candy bars to homeless people for the rest of his life to pay for his damages and fines lol
2:09…all you need at that point is sulfuric acid and you have nitroglycerin, lol, that teacher is wild AF
Grandpa Joe should have gotten more than one charge
So, they drank the "Fizzy LIfting Drinks", but Charlie redeemed himself by giving Wonka the Everlasting Gobstopper instead of Slugworth/Wilkinson!
Can you sentence owl house and amphbiba characters.
Objection for veruca onwards.
Veruca was told no and also trespassed into the work area.
Violet was warned that the formula wasn't yet perfected, she took it anyway.
Mike was told no, he disregarded instruction.
However. I will Void the contract the kids had to sign for 2 reasons; The people signing the contract are minors, therefore not legally binding. Part of the contract is illegible due to the insanely small font.
What if Loki was charged for his Crimes From Thor and The Avengers
Next do basil brush villains
united states government? its not set in the US so it would be the government of whatever country it is set in, and also you cant charge the teacher either because a lot of schools had dangerous chemicals used for science experiments, it was a different time.
I thought Grandpa Joe would be charged with child endangerment for taking Charlie into the bubble room where they were almost killed by the ceiling fan
This movie took place in England not Illinois 😅
The movie's filming location, while the book has it taken place in The United Kingdom, actually occurs in Germany.
Great, now sentence the unknown for his crimes
He'd be out of business so fast with paying lawsuits, Charlie would have nothing to inherit!
W and I would agree. Could you sentence the Johnny Depp one? Maybe might have less charges? 🤔
Well, the thing is, it wouldn't excuse Johnny Depp Wonka's behavior of letting the children end up in demise, and thus that would also count as safety issues and child abuse as well (the same with the 1971 movie with Depp Wonka being put in jail for life as well). And while some things at least are much more safe with the handrails and such. It sadly doesn't excuse the chocolate room having no guardrails for people to accidentally fall into the river at any time.
I love this movie but I like this video
The news paper round for the time pirod this film was set in getting paid for it dose not brake any laws
7:50 oh my god
The children who went along with it couldn't be charged because of entrapment.
Can you please sentence Harry Potter villains for their crimes?
That would be interesting!
@@cinemasentencing yeah, not sure how you would go about doing it whether the sentencing would take place in Wizarding World universe and they’d be charged for their crimes according to that OR if they’d be sentenced as they would be in the real world for their non magical crimes such as murder, torture etc but either way hope you consider doing this, thanks
for the child labor charge, I hope Charlie is able to keep that money for himself. if that charge ever occurs.
Finally wonka should had never and I mean NEVER run an illegal sweepstakes to these children. Including all of those safety hazards that runs through his factory
That’s the uk not the us
Mr. Turkentine looks like older Draco Malfoy
In most states you can be a paper boy at 12
glade you are back
Thank you!
@@cinemasentencing your well come
@@cinemasentencing when is the next video
While you’re talking about US law , I thought it took place in the UK
Before Willy Wonka (Timothée Chalamet) is innocent and framed, he got arrested for poisoning the customers from his chocolates from the Wonka shop since 2023. Right anyone?
😢
#wonka
For modern day maybe but I mean I’m pretty sure that takes place in the 50s
"and a special mixture of my own" ?????
Now do SpongeBob characters next
nine-a-loompa wiped out half loompas:(
They willingly work for him
Wonka is such a nice man 😢 he should not be in perison
It’s just a movie
Fraud
Why did an elderly man goes to jail for 3 months😭😭?
I wonder if the Depp Wonka characters have lighter sentences or not. Of course, Grandpa Joe won't get a sentence in that version.
Joe
Illegal Dancing
20 years
🤣
Hey, can you do the Johnny Depp version of Charlie and the chocolate factory next please lol! I would like your intake on that palace he made out of chocolate
Wonka has at least 50+ years in jail for attempting murder and being totally nuts
Isn’t it common for kids Charley’s age to have paper routs?
Maybe you'd like to tackle "The Truman Show," starring Jim Carrey? I eyeballed false imprisonment, unsafe working enviroment, and unlawful surveillance and wiretapping, and I'm not even a lawyer!
Next suggestion: Carl Anheuser with 2012
Now do Johnny Depp and Timothee Chalamet's renditions of Willy Wonka.
If Wonka hands down his factory to Charlie is he liable for any potential lawsuits from the families of the other kids?
Glad you did this, shouldn’t Grandpa Joe also be sentenced for child endangerment too
That could be true.
@@cinemasentencing Can you do one on Saved by the Bell please ?
Note that the book and the 2005 movie show that the other children are still alive, at least clearing Mr. Wonka of any charges of culpable homicide.
Even in this one Wonka explicitly says that they survived
@@matityaloran9157 just because he said so doesn't mean its true we know wonka lies i like the theory he was lieing to Charle to not traumatize him
@@komaristudios2863 There are actually very few scenes wherein he tells explicit lies, he mostly omits and redirects. Also, the only one of the kids who can be reasonably assumed to be killed by the incident is Augustus where the fates of the others (reshaped into a giant blueberry, thrown down a garbage chute, shrunk down) were not necessarily fatal.
@matityaloran9157 just like I said it's only a theory
@matityaloran9157 I wasn't being true with what I said I just said that just for a theory but your right
What if gumball watterson was charged for his crimes please? Respect for all your works ❤❤❤🙏
He said us laws wouldnt allow this yet this takes place in the uk so it would be based on uk laws
Willy Wonka did make the children sign a contract tho🤷♂️
Well..
1: Signed by minors
2: Part of it completely unreadable.
This is an OSHA fever dream
I love wonka, and regret leaving this channel after the William Afton video
At least Timothy chalamet didn't do that
The problem is when this came out so any law past the date wouldnt go into affect
The Legal Eagle video on wonka was good. He looks at how long wonka ends in jail.
Honestly, I've always found Willy Wonka to be a creep.
MATPAT already covered the violations
3:23, according to the book, he smuggled them in in crates with holes for breathing
If you ask me, I'd say Noodle, Tom, Jerry, Tuffy, Bill, and the Bucket Family are good, Mr. Wonka, his parents, Mr. Wilkinson, Spike, Lofty, and the Oompa Loompas are neutral to good, Augustus, Veruca, Violet, Mike, and the unused Kids are neutral to bad, and Slugworth, Fickelgruber, and Prodnose are bad.
Even then, Tom, Jerry, Tuffy & Bill wouldn't be considered or granted citizenship since they're domestic or feral animals. So Tuffy working at the factory could get him in trouble as well, and Bill as a dog the same thing as Tuffy. Tom & Jerry may end up being sent back home, but Jerry on the other hand would end up in the same situation as Tuffy, which they would end up as either adopted pets or taken back to the hospital for care and such. Possibly worse, they could end up executed if they transfer airborne viruses to human beings.
Tom and Jerry in the film would also be charged the same amount of time as Grandpa Joe did, so they too would be in trouble. Even the 2017 film has characters that could get sentenced. If this was the 1950s or back in the early 1800s, this wouldn't matter. But after the 1960s, things and workplace laws have drastically changed to where they're not the same as they were in the 1950s and before.
6:55 candy bar part got me dying😂😂
I should note that not only would Mr. Turkentine himself be in big trouble for possession of those dangerous chemicals, the school district itself would be as well. Turk was functioning as a school employee when he had those chemicals, so his actions would be the school's actions and they would get a massive fine completely separate from Turkentine personally.
Also, one other health and safety violation that wasn't mentioned--the factory has no separation between products that contain nuts and those that don't. That puts consumers with peanut allergies at risk, and those can be life threatening. I'm guessing a class-action lawsuit just on that could be in the works.
Is there a way you could object to the mike TV causing his own mutilation
And Veruca and violet.
I agree with this one. They did all that on their own even though Willy told them to stop multiple times until it was too late.
3:57 technically, in the second movie, the workers are paid in assets such as cocoa nuts and they haven’t refused payment
Next suggestion : what if all of the characters from the Barbie movie were charged for thier crimes.
So are these recent laws or are they laws had that existed since the movie has been made?
No one knows specifically what country Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory takes place in. Someone else may be different than different places and I thought a lot of times kids his age did have paper route see from here in the U.S.
It's obvious these laws are being judged through the modern USA law system
I think they should have judged the laws based on the USA law system in the 1970s atleast or earlier
@jackbluehq6653 actually the laws of Great Britan at the time, as that's the likely setting.
@@robertknight4672it was specified it takes place in a made up city in the uk
Charge patrick bateman for his crimes
Impressive. Very nice. *Let's see Paul Allen's crimes.*
Hang on a sec.
If Charlie is 12 and he’s willingly working for someone his family knows to help his family financially, it’s not like Mr Joepek is overworking him either.
Drop that.
Grandpa Joe I do agree with.
Taking something without permission is stealing, then proceeding to blame someone for leaving it out is like saying I robbed a bank and got away with over 10 K but got caught because the cameras were pointed in the wrong direction. Laughable.
Wonka.
Wonka is odd, multiple counts of attempted child murder, Slave labor, I’d argue conspiracy, attempted drug making and possession for the one everlasting gobstopper and lab scene extreme FDA violations, definitely psychiatric issues, he’s got more than a few screws loose.
The 13th Amendment Is 1 Thing, But What about The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Amendments?
Do sofia the first characters: good to evil
The good 😇: sofia , amber, james, ruby , jade colver and crackle
The grey area 😊:balywick
Bad to evil😈:wormwoad and princess ivy
actually the US and therefore OSHA has zero jurisdiction since his factory is in England and everyone involved is British. also the story takes place in the 1980s so the child abuse laws would not apply.
I wonder if he's guilty of crimes in the new Wonka film
WHY ARE YOU USING USA LAWS HUH? DO YOU THINK THAT YOUR THE BOSS? NO, ENGLAND MADE YOUR LANGUAGE AND THEN YOU PRETEND LIKE WILLY WONKA DOSENT TAKE PLACE IN ENGLAND HUH? ROALD DAUL LITERALLY SAID IT TOOK PLACE IN ENGLAND AND I KNOW THIS MOVIE CHANGED ALOT OF THINGS BUT THATS NOT ONE >:( YOU LOST A SUBSCRIBER
Wouldn't Willy Wonka be charged with mass slavery, too (for not paying his employees properly)?
What about the new movie?
wonka offered the umpa lompas a wage however they refused and asked to be payed in cocoa beans so he isn't at fault for that
Additional charges for Wonka and Wilkinson:Identity Theft and Liable.
As Slugworth is established as a prominent figure in the Confectionery Industry, Wilkinson's masquerading of him constitutes identity theft and liability, as, if anything went wrong, Slugworth would initially take the rap until someone said "But this isn't the man I spoke to"
Grandpa Joe should get life for that gnarly coke nail
These are us laws wonkas factory is in britan or germany
Charlie has to have the lucky penny's help
I misheard his name to be "turpentine".
Bro called the river a lake☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️

Free my man, he didn't do shit
