@@justing16 We love to hear it, Justin! You've got free access to Tom Doorley's lessons too, he's got plenty of tunes for you to learn there. Keep it all up, sounds like fantastic progress.
@@mcneelamusic thanks a million. i certainly will.... just uploaded one of my flute videos last week.. im improving all the time. th-cam.com/video/1LxbLyTohYQ/w-d-xo.html
Wow - just got mine today and wow, thought I would be playing my wooden more expensive "sought after" keyless flute 90 percent of the time then switching to this one when I needed it for the keys but now I am not so sure - this might be my full time player, scale is good very in tune and the sound is a little bit softer than my main player but a great sound non the less, this thing sounds really really good.
Lovely sound. Are the open holes positioned more naturally than the unkeyed flute I once had, and had to sell because I couldn’t handle the spacing or successfully use banana fingers?
Without knowing what the previous flute you had was, difficult for anyone to answer this question 🙃. I think the spacing on these is pretty standard for a Irish Low D flute with a conical bore, neither particularly wide nor narrow (but again, depends what your baseline is! They're always more of a stretch than the Boehm system for instance)
Some of the cheap tony Dixon Low D Irish flutes used to have particularly awkward spacing I think iirc. Imagine it'd be miles better than that at least 🙃

Great to hear you're enjoying the flute so far, the delrin flute has a lovely sound alright. We're very proud of it!
Enjoy and happy playing!
We have Dessy Seery to thank for starting the adoption of this material for Irish Flute making. RIP Dessy
Is it hard to learn? I'm very attracted to the sound but I was shit at recorder in high school.

Boehm system sees the flute: heres for you some KEYSSSS (so cool)
Boehm system sees the recorder:....... no you look ugly
recorder: you too
As much as I respect Mr. Doorley, I am not sure how I can go by a review when coming from the company so closely.
