I really enjoyed the entire lesson here, but I really enjoyed the ending; hearing about emulsion and ionization. You truly are an amazing doctor and an amazing teacher. I'm glad to see UChem and OChem terms still being used outside of college. Thanks for the video!

Great lesson. Question. Most sodium bicarbonate I’ve come accross says to be used as single dose, but here it looks like you’re using it as a multi-dose. What is your take on using a labeled “single dose” vial as multi-dose like in the case of the sodium bicarbonate? I know some facilities do this to minimize waste and research has shown there’s no bacterial growth shown when used as multi-dose but yet it’s labaled as single dose?

I’d love to hear your explanation of how ionization is responsible for dissolving a molecule in a nonpolar solvent…

If the lidocaine fell onto your skin briefly would it absorb into the skin into the bloodstream?

Does lidocaine works if we just drops it on the wound without injecting it into the wound/skin?

Oh is that why lidocaine stings when it is being injected? Because of the acidity? I never knew that sodium bicarbonate can be added to help the patient.

You should always practice like you're doing it for real. He should have worn gloves.
