Y'know, even if you failed to grab the crystal on your way, you still cleared the path for submarines to land right at the Ridge, so the crystal is pretty much guaranteed to be secured soon anyways.

I think they realized that you could progress without the crystal, so they changed it so that if you don't grab it, your detonation timer will begin to start, forcing you to grab it to continue. Lore wise this makes sense, and gameplay wise is still fine.
Well you are not exactly correct about the beeping sound The sounds beeps if you are in the death zone hearing the z-799 I think or z-779 idk but if you stay in the area in the death zone you will explode
@@nathanwong2281 nah he is correct, the diving gear you wear has a built in gun which urbanshade can set off if you dont do what they want, z-779 can remotely set it off too in the dead zone but in this case it is because you dont grab the crystal
@@HappyBlox nathan is right. if you grab the crystal and reach there. the suit will still beep.not grabbing the crystal IS NOT a part of the game as they tell you to grab the crystal. if you didnt then you would get executed. however he finished the game and was pardoned. so its just z 779. not grabbing the crystal just glitchs the music. plus he went forward and left the death zone by advancing.
