I drive over the bridge every morning in the dark. I don't see it as a problem, I'm just a little extra cautious. High beams are unnecessary. Temporary inconvenience, parts have been ordered. I'm confident it won't take a year. I can't wait to hear the complaints once they start removing the Beaver Island overpass.

The Island is a boring and meaningless place, it needs new development everywhere. I personally would like to see a few casinos and many restaurants. Grand Island especially needs way more homes and apartments. I also think the Island needs a hospital of its own.

I hope do lights come back on soon I know somebody who was on the Grand Island Bridge hit a coyote on the bridge and did serious damage to her car.
