I've had a lot of fun experimenting with this pack. One thing I always enjoy is making sims famous for more niche/off-the-wall hobbies or activities. Making a famous knitter was particularly fun :) Also, you can give your up-and-coming celeb an assistant or employee! Have at least 2 sims in your household, 1 is the prospective celeb that uses the drone to film themselves, and the other sim does all the film editing. So long as you have the celeb sim be the person that actually uploads the videos, this is a great system! And the editor sim can even hold down a part-time gig or attend university from home while still managing the celeb's video editing needs.
I wonder if it would work if you use the control anyone mod, call the editor sim over as needed, and then control them to edit videos and when it's time for them to go, just stop control. That way, they don't have to live with you.
My favourite storyline I did with get famous was making a sim who wanted Thorne Bailey at whatever cost, he did whatever he could to get close to him and created a kind of shrine out of his autographs and after a while he got his wish, they got married and then the next day Thorne burned the kitchen down trying to cook and sadly perished
Once you get the famed autograph from beyond the grave, clone it in the cloning machine unlimited times, rinse and repeat and start a store that sells only autographs from dead celebrities beyond the grave (and prepare to incorporate beyond the grave readings in the new expansion coming soon!) then you can just hit restock from the store once you've labeled it a sellable item, pretty sure. You will pay 153k or whatever to replenish stock, but at a 15% bare minimum markup (and who plays at that? ) , you're always on pace for a profit.
Get Famous is also the pack that introduces the Charity Event concept- So you can throw parties to get sims to donate to whatever charity you want to pretend. I love this with my Good Trait sims along with using as much of their surplus simoleans as possible to donate to underprivileged sims. I also love to limit my sims in the acting career to a category- They may only be a working actor who gets just commercial gigs, or they may be a regular on a long-running sitcom. Some are film stars ( typically type cast) ...does it get boring not doing the other gigs? absolutely! that's why once they are famous enough or just over it they walk away from this career and use their fame to do their own thing- write books about their career, buy a restaurant, marry rich, and famously.
It's amazing how I still discover new things about TS4 after all these years. Before watching this video, I never realised there was a music editing station (I've only used the video one), or knew about the Lifestyle Brand feature. Makes me wonder what else I'm just totally missing!
Making a celebrity memorabilia retail store with Get to Work- could be even funnier if you made a celebrity chaser sim with the kleptomaniac trait, but selling autographs and photos could also work
Totally agree! I think just a lot of the pack's features are hidden behind certain celebrity perks or come from objects people don't realise exist for a while. It's a pack that takes time in order to discover its full potential!
I've thought of being a celebrity chef by filming my sim cooking and uploading the vlog but haven't done it yet. I have been playing with simple living on and my sim got the option to write a special cookbook.
Personally, I love mashing Get Famous with Jungle Adventure. Exploring the temples and finding new artifacts to donate to the museum is plenty of fun. You can also solve cases as a detective and gain some fame that way but the core gameplay of that active career is slightly boring, so that's not my favorite.

Might be a stupid question but can your sim become a famous singer?? My sim has a high sing skill and i want her to possibly get famous when i get the pack
They totally could with City Living, which introduces the singing skill. You'll gain fame by licensing songs you write using the singing skill, however this is relatively capped, so you'd want a secondary method of gaining fame, like streaming while you sing :).
I didn't know the lifestyle brand worked. It's the only thing in the game I've found so far that makes it crash. Maybe I just need to run a repair on my game.
I'm doing one were my daughter and her friend want to be famous but her friend is fake and jealous of her success. They fight over this dude and my daughter (Kimberly )leaves him because she's not a fan of being cheated on, her friend stays with him to fill like she won something and gets addicted to substances and gets kicked out of school and her bf leaves her because he's not about that life. She takes out her frustration out on Kimberly after she reached out to bury the beef. Kimberly is famous, successful and in a loving relationship and her friend is not, she becomes obsessed with trying to beat her and put her down that she starts a relationship with Kimberly's new brother-in-law and that's where we are now.
