I loved Remarkably Bright Creatures - it vied for my favorite book of 2023. Marcellus was my favorite character from last year.
I was glad to hear your thoughts on Bootleggers Daughter. I picked this one as well. Happy Reading 📚
Lindsey! I just saw this and am SOOOO amazingly thrilled at how much you loved the book. Thank you SO much!
They all sound really good! My favorite May read was Brotherless Night by V.V. Ganeshananthan, historical fiction about the Sri Lankan Civil War. Highly recommend!
Just received my kindle copy of When the World Went Silent that I didn't remember preordering! When I read the synopsis, I thought, "This sounds like a Lindsey..." and went searching for this video to make sure! LOL
The book that really sticks in my mind this past month is The Last Letter byRebecca Yarros. 5 ⭐️.
I just finished Her Sister’s Death by K.L. Murphy and it was a good time. Kept me guessing the whole time.
Love the new book covers!
Amazon kindle has when the world falls silent currently for pre sale $2.99 out july 19! Looking forward to this recommendation
Simone St James is a favorite author of mine. You introduced her to me a few years ago. 😊 THANKS SO MUCH. I ordered a book cover and I am so excited for it to get here
Our GPS is named Betty lol. When we don't follow her instructions, she seems to take on a tone of disapproval. I think my favorite book of May was The Return of Ellie Black by Emiko Jean - it really kept me engaged. LOVE the book covers!!
I LOVE Marcellus!!!
Hi Lindsey! I’m so glad you read Find Me as I was so intrigued by it when you talked about it previously. I’m going to check that out along with The Bootlegger’s Daughter. I just finished reading The Most Likely Club by Elyssa Friedman. It’s about 4 high school best friends coming up on their 25th reunion and are they anything like the senior superlatives they got when they graduated. I think you would really like it 😊
I hope you enjoy the books as much as I did. I will add The Most Likely Club to my list. It sounds like a book I would like.
I love the new book covers! I can't wait for more to come!(Especially spooky covers and Xmas themed.)
Those are in the works.
I love Halifax and heard about the explosion during my last visit. I will definitely be adding that to my TBR. The only book that doesn't strike my interest is the science fiction. Have a great reading month.
I listened to Murder Road (4 stars) and Remarkably Bright Creatures (5 stars). I loved them both. Remarkable Bright Creatures is in competition for my favorite read of 2024. Just hearing you say Marecellus’ name warmed my heart. I am adding everything else you reviewed to my TBR. Thank you.
Best book in May, and quite possibly my favorite of the year, is “James” by Percival Everett. Reads like a classic, but has very short chapters. I think you’d love it ❤
I've heard so many good things about that book.
I read and loved “home is where the bodies are” in May. The last book that you talked about finishing in May, is it kindle only? I looked for it to preorder and only see kindle, but I might be missing it. ❤

You might like Erica Robucks’s new book The Last Twelve Miles. It’s about the Prohibition and a female detective. Based on real women.
I'm absolutely adding that one to my list.
Does BOTM list different books for different areas? I don’t remember seeing this Simone St James title as an option for me☹️ I definitely would have picked it.
They started a new thing maybe a year ago - they have the normal 5-7 books that you can pick from each month, then they have additional "new" books as add ons.
Thank you for the reviews Lindsey. I've added to my Goodreads list!
I just finished The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton and loved it.
The Light Pirate is such a good read! I loved it.
@@brooker9370 😃👍
My GPS is named Judy lol
Hi Lindsey. I put almost all of these on my “want to read”. Surprisingly, I am most interested in the John Scalzi one and the Halifax one. I’m not into sci-fi much but if Amanda and you recommend it, I’m in. The Halifax one sounds great and I’m trying to read more about Canada these days. Are you a subscriber to Jolene’s channel, Bookworm Adventure Girl?
I am not but will be if you follow her.
She has a very good channel. I think you will like it.
