I'm from Valdosta. The same South Georgia town they came out of. As a weirdo southern songwriter from a socially backwards South Georgia town it meant so much to me to find this record and realize shit like this was going on in my town 20 years before I was born. I got to see them play a couple years ago. It was their first show in like 40 years or something. They only played a couple. One in Athens and one in Atlanta. I asked Don Fleming and Bruce if there was a scene back then in Valdosta or if they were just weirdos operating in isolation and he said they were the only ones. Beautiful.

So I’m “Comment 20” - killer ‘80s band obscure, unheard of, limited to most ... but I found this album on a random crate dig at the Costa Mesa, CA Salvation Army . I played it cover to the cover and was blown- away by the tight groove they carried - surf inspired, roots rock, nerdy image of the band members on the cover, $1.99 soooo well spent, HA!! Played SIDE 1 ..man, I was hooked. One of my many personal finds I treasure . . . “into the woods I go . . .” Or “she’s my white trash Girl. . . “ .

I've got this in the original vinyl pressing from 1982 on Invasion Records. Glad to be able to hear it here without spinning the record.

Al Just Al - Do you still have the original lyric insert for this record? I would love to get the lyrics to "The Streets".

I saw them in San Diego back in the early 80's. They were a great although short-lived band.

Saw them all over LA in the heyday of the art punk scene. They would be on bill with Human Hands, Wall of Voodoo, Monitor, amongst many others. Bruce Joyner has a Bandcamp page too.

Great album from beginning to end. These guys always reminded me of the Cramps but with real musical talent. Great drummer and Bruce can really belt it out.

I can see the similarities. The Cramps may not sound as polished but they were very musically talented. In fact I saw both bands live and both bands good. The Cramps were better though. The charisma of all the members of The Cramps was undeniable.

I bought and thoroughly enjoyed the other album? I don't even know how many albums these gents had but that one was Dream Sequence. So here I am on YT and am very pleased to discover this whole other album I never even knew existed!!! I would love to see these guys live. Takes me back to the 80's when I was in my 20's. Very good stuff, thanks for posting!

For me, the album was a stroke of luck in a small record store in the mid-eighties!
This band was way ahead of its time.
This was later proven by Chris Isaak and the current sound that many bands rediscover!
    Thank you for sharing!

Part of rock'n'roll history. This album is one of those who wrote that story. Bruce voice is the voice of the south. God bless him

Oui.
