Yea, in comparison, Bob always seemed bored. I know Bob's old, but it was just funny how he'd always put on this exhausted face like, "I can't believe it... you won... I-I can't believe it..."
The day before that one featured a double over in which his "No! Please don't let me read this!" saying in 2013 could have applied with the top winner's showcase price (over by a small $77 before this ep!).
This is a moment that really shows what I like about Drew as a host. He usually seems genuinely happy for big winners, and many winners in general. Something Bob sort of lacked towards the end.
Yes, he has; part of that, however, had to do with the fact that he had weight loss surgery and also has to be mindful of what he can and cannot eat as far as his diet is concerned.
EricEbac22 Also, he's improved quite a bit as host of "The Price Is Right", and now has to be considered one of the top game-show hosts in the business
altfactor Drew reminds me of Jimmy Fallon in a way. Both of them have something in common. At first wasn't very good but over time has progressed beautifully. Jimmy has done a fantastic job on the tonight show and a step up from his days of SNL and laughing during the skits. Drew is the same thing. At the beginning he was okay on Who's line. But now on price is right he is an amazing host and is classy at the same time. The same thing can't be said about Bob Barker who treated Rod and Janice his former beauty unclassy like. The way he got Janice fired was an asshole. Drew knows hot to treat the crew and contestants. He is a better game show host.
I've watched 100's of episodes of Price is Right in my lifetime and that last chip drop was probably the luckiest drop ever. It was like that shit was guided in almost. I love this show.
@@Gstwc11 This isn't that incident. For the fishing line incident, they gave the contestant the $30,000, then refilmed the plinko segment without the fishing line earning $1500 and did not air the original rigged take.

Its one of the few games where the contestants can expect to walk away with a profit since they have to pay taxes on all prizes before they can get them. I wonder what the percentage actually even is of "winners" who have to forfeit their prizes due to not being able to afford to shell out the thousands in taxes on their new car, vacation getaway and such.
Buuuuuuut, then she had to do it again because they forgot to take the wires out and got nearly 10 times less than that but did ended up keeping her winnings
I remember seeing this back then and boy that Plinko chip sure shot right into the center at 5:36, i don't think I have ever seen such an amazing display of luck on this game since then. Even though this record has since been broken a time or two since, it was still great to see how lucky she got at the end.
It was rigged. The Price Is Right shot a commercial using the plinko board and had fishing wire setup in there to insure the chip would fall in the $10,000 slot…the show still decided to give her the $30,000 though so that was nice.
@@Shadowx011 There was clearly nothing assisting it in this game, because it crossed the area you mentioned when it hit the zero the first time. It is rigged at times, because I've seen it roll horizontally, so they clearly have some means of moving a barrier up and down on it to prevent zero. Game shows are allowed to be rigged, as long as it's in favor of a contestant, and isn't discriminating against another contestant. They wouldn't be allowed to rig contestants' row, because then they would be choosing one player over the others, which would be against the law.
The Bob Barker version, the military guy won 40k. In the Drew Carey version, someone won 41k. Both are primetime versions. This clip is daytime version.

From season thirty-six of The Price is Right on CBS, here's a memorable moment from a December 2007 episode where contestant Kristy sets a new winnings record in the game Plinko. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
There was controversy during this episode. Sometime before this show they had that Plinko board gimmicked to hit $10,000 for some promotional video, but they forgot to take of the fish line that guided the chips before this episode was shot.
