Price is Right - Former Record moment DAYTIME- PLINKO (Carey)

- UPDATE: This record was held for 10 years before someone finally broke the Plinko record.
The Price is Right pricing game Plinko. Here you see a contestant, Kristy, at the time back in 2007, broke the Daytime record playing this game. See how much she won! What an incredible moment. Drew Carey is the host. In 2017, someone broke the record of Plinko with $31,500.
They did an attempt for top prize on $500,000 in season 42 on the daytime Plinko, but never achieved.
The former record is for daytime, NOT night time/prime time. The all time record is $41,000 on the nighttime version with Drew Carey. Please, don't confuse with daytime and nighttime versions of this show. - บันเทิง
i like the way Drew is always this happy when ppl win ! he is great
BLAAAAGGGHHHHH
I think it's really cool how excited Drew Carey gets when people win.
Yea, in comparison, Bob always seemed bored. I know Bob's old, but it was just funny how he'd always put on this exhausted face like, "I can't believe it... you won... I-I can't believe it..."
It seems like he really pulls for them to win, almost kinda hints at right/ wrong answers
The day before that one featured a double over in which his "No! Please don't let me read this!" saying in 2013 could have applied with the top winner's showcase price (over by a small $77 before this ep!).
I have heard Drew say many times "I love when people win"!
I actually now prefer him to Bob
Drew has absolutely transformed over the years.
Yes, he has; part of that, however, had to do with the fact that he had weight loss surgery and also has to be mindful of what he can and cannot eat as far as his diet is concerned.
EricEbac22
Also, he's improved quite a bit as host of "The Price Is Right", and now has to be considered one of the top game-show hosts in the business
altfactor Drew reminds me of Jimmy Fallon in a way. Both of them have something in common. At first wasn't very good but over time has progressed beautifully. Jimmy has done a fantastic job on the tonight show and a step up from his days of SNL and laughing during the skits. Drew is the same thing. At the beginning he was okay on Who's line. But now on price is right he is an amazing host and is classy at the same time. The same thing can't be said about Bob Barker who treated Rod and Janice his former beauty unclassy like. The way he got Janice fired was an asshole. Drew knows hot to treat the crew and contestants. He is a better game show host.
+Star Star oh my god your so right
no, you're wrong Star Star, Drew Carey runs circles around Bob Barker
$1,595 for a 26" flat panel tv. We've come a long way.
China has come a long way
Brandon Ritter
Now it's 159.50 and at better quality
I paid $450 for a 65" tv last year.
I was thinking the same thing lol
You can get a tv at the 70-80 inch range for that price now.
This is a moment that really shows what I like about Drew as a host. He usually seems genuinely happy for big winners, and many winners in general. Something Bob sort of lacked towards the end.
I LOVE Drew's reaction when she gets the last $10,000.
I love how Drew gets just as excited as the contestants! He's awesome!
I really should be asleep right now
Sleep is for the weak.
She's adorable, but I like how genuine Drew is with his reactions.
Amazing. The final moment the plinko chip practically homed in and shot straight to the $10,000 slot. Wow.
I think Drew showed the proper amount of emotion here. Nice win.
I've watched 100's of episodes of Price is Right in my lifetime and that last chip drop was probably the luckiest drop ever. It was like that shit was guided in almost. I love this show.
Because of the wires they still had
Proof?
@@YTN1112 they were doing a promo for the video game they were dropping and they forgot to take them out when this was aired
@@isaiahhatten7973 This isn't that incident. For the fishing line incident, they gave the contestant the $30,000, then refilmed the plinko segment without the fishing line earning $1500 and did not air the original rigged take.
@@matts.1352 Yeah I know lol
she was so happy and bouncey it had me smiling along
Was there anything else bouncing ?
Her pubic hair
Kristy set a record of $30.1K on CHRISTMAS 2007! That was a great X-Mas Treat for her!
Buuuuuuut, then she had to do it again because they forgot to take the wires out and got nearly 10 times less than that but did ended up keeping her winnings
Everybody loves Plinko!
Big winner of Plinko!
My favorite game of the entire show plinko
Not me
The question on everyone's mind is, would you rather have Plinko or Stinko?
Its one of the few games where the contestants can expect to walk away with a profit since they have to pay taxes on all prizes before they can get them. I wonder what the percentage actually even is of "winners" who have to forfeit their prizes due to not being able to afford to shell out the thousands in taxes on their new car, vacation getaway and such.
The way it goes right into the 10,000 spot @ 5:36 is crazy
At 1:45 the guy who came on stage was like "I've never been this close to a girl before, what do I do with my hands?"
Exactly what I thought he prob went and rubbed one out after he got off stage
Brian sodaberg That was possibly the worst attempt at a burn I've ever seen. Shake your clever 8 ball and try again.
he looked like ned Flanders
+DrZiggyzoo1 He was just playing it cool, knowing she was out of his league and would shoot him down bigtime on national TV. That said, the least she could have done is give him a birthday kiss. Or a flash.
Hidley ho, neighborooney!
That Plinko sound as the chip goes down the board brings back so many memories of watching this when I was a kid!
That is so funny! My bf got me that book for Christmas last year! It's pretty good, (a fun, light read) I recommend it to fans of TPIR for sure!
I love PLINKO..cool game...great when people can win..
No not really
I remember back on Wednesday May 24, 2017, when the man who wears shorts and sandals did broke a record on Plinko by winning $31,500.
YAY! You go,girl! 🤗
Blessings! ❤️
Drew's reaction is priceless.
DREW CRIED WHEN SCOTT LEFT THE SHOW !! HE WAS A SPECIAL ELF !
Holy crap did the stars truly align for that last one?!?
Marathon Watching 11/21/2020 This is Awesome! Thanks for the video... 🤩🤩😍😍😍
She won because she was emanating positive energy.
I remember seeing this back then and boy that Plinko chip sure shot right into the center at 5:36, i don't think I have ever seen such an amazing display of luck on this game since then.
Even though this record has since been broken a time or two since, it was still great to see how lucky she got at the end.
It was rigged. The Price Is Right shot a commercial using the plinko board and had fishing wire setup in there to insure the chip would fall in the $10,000 slot…the show still decided to give her the $30,000 though so that was nice.
@@Shadowx011 There was clearly nothing assisting it in this game, because it crossed the area you mentioned when it hit the zero the first time. It is rigged at times, because I've seen it roll horizontally, so they clearly have some means of moving a barrier up and down on it to prevent zero. Game shows are allowed to be rigged, as long as it's in favor of a contestant, and isn't discriminating against another contestant. They wouldn't be allowed to rig contestants' row, because then they would be choosing one player over the others, which would be against the law.
@@Shadowx011 This isn't that incident. They refilmed the rigged plinko segment without the fishing line and aired the refilmed version.
@@matts.1352 I’ll have to watch it again then.
Yes you are correct. I was confused with the other incident.
Drew Carey is a good dude.
I remember this episode. This came on Christmas morning of 2007 and she won $30,100 on daytime.
"I can't believe I did that!" lol that was cute.
I really like drew. I feel like he is always excited no matter what. I miss bob all the same but drew is the man
A 26 inch TV for $1600? That better be a 4k 3d with voice control.
If this episode was like in 2007 to 2011, the prices were MUCH more expensive for LCDs and flat panels. They are much cheaper now.
lol
@@AuronArchangel0 Obviously this was 2007 because this video was uploaded in that year.
I would put that on my resume under accomplishments for sure.
Damn Drew’s been hosting 13 years?! I would have taken the under on that number
Drew is a lot smaller today 1/19/2021 then in this video. Looking good Drew😍😍😘👏👏🙏♥️💯
Plinko has survived all of these years. I wish they never retired Bump or Penny Ante. I miss seeing those 2 on The Price is Right.
That's the perfect description!
yeah me too it's nice to see the host cheering for/with the contestants like that.
OMG, that was awesome!
No Matter What I Still Love Drew Carey!!!
Kristy, what a beautiful name, especially for the holidays. It conjures to mind Kris Kringle, Santa, reindeers and sleigh, a Christmas tree and lit fire and presents.
It is crazy looking at the price at the TV almost 9 years ago. Now that 26" TV would be a nice paperweight.
40,000 win The Price is Right - Bob Barker's and Drew Carey's Biggest Primetime Winners in Plinko
"I've Got A Feeling" that I received an autographed picture of Drew Carey that says "Come on Down!" on Saturday, May 29th!!
That was awesome!!
I remember watching this episode!
That's pretty sick. I did not know they did a new episode on Christmas Day.
$1500 for a 26" knock-off TV? That's crazy...that's a $250 TV.
2007 air date
My bid was 300.00 imagine my surprise
I got a 24 inch Vizio 720p TV brand new for $120. That's worth like $100 or less.
Drew has been the host for over seven years? I feel old.
+Terrance Brown Actually Drew is now in his 9th season of hosting the show already. You think you feel old? The first episode with Bob Barker way back on Labor Day in 1972 I remember watching. It was 2 days before I began my first day of Kindergarten. Price is Right has been a part of my life for all but the first 5 and 3/4ths of it.
Make it 14 years now
In 2001, when The Price is Right was kicking off Season 30, a contestant named Kelli won $23,000 on Plinko
Congratulations on breaking the record in Plinko
That would later be broken many other times in the near future
Not this contestant. It happened this summer during a filming of a commerical for The Price is Right Video Game. The woman selected to play the game had landed on the $10,000 space 3 times before producers realized that the strings used to rigged the game were never removed. That's when the reset the game and she only won $3000. But they decided to award her the $30,000 too.
No, because you either are watching it already and see the record get broken or you aren't watching and don't ever know about it. And seriously, even watching this on YT. is anyone gonna start watching this show more often?
Yes, I've notice that. They are showing a rebroadcast from last christmas that was aired 12/25/2007.
Kristy used to live in the double wide across from mine and used the $ to buy the biggest rock I had ever seen. She smoked it for 2 weeks untill her heart gave out, thanks Carey.
I played this on the Nintendo DS version (2010 edition) one time and created my own 'epic fail'; I landed on the '0' slot five times. But I achieved one of its tasks when playing the same game on another occasion: to get at least $20,000 in Plinko. BTW, former TPIR announcer Rich Fields' voice said such phrases as 'Zero...Sorry', 'One of you is exactly right; the winner gets a $500 bonus', 'No one wins their Showcase', 'You found the Master Key; you win all three prizes', and 'Punch out one space and see what's inside'. One more thing, Kristy won $30,100 (I don't even know what the record was when Bob Barker was the original 'Star of The Price Is Right).
$23,000 in the season 30 premiere episode.
awesome!
@ 1:44 we're an example of a perfectly executed "happy clap" by Christy. A happy clap is a fast clap, in excess of 100 beats per min., usually performed while hopping up and down and grinning. Typically done by cute, young women as seen here.
lol Drew Carey sure has a sense of humor. Imagine if Best Buy's advertised their televisions with Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
It would've been wrong for them not to award her the money she earned in my opinion. I'm glad they went ahead and decided to let her keep it. Unlike the incident on Press Your Luck with Michael Larson, this was a result of something the producers did, not of what the contestant did.
Well, I do have to admit that I prefer seeing everyone win. I'm not sure how many times that's happened, but I have seen it happen.
That last chip was insane. Did you see the bounce on it at the end?
Had to watch it twice this a dream or reality!?
WOW! Some people are so DAMNED LUCKY!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! :)
Yeah, they keep separate records for the daytime version and prime time versions.
her last toss was so badass at the very end
Not sure how this ended up in my recommendations 13 years later but I'm not mad....
This episode was as good as the 1996 Christmas episode.
Contestant Kristy ❤
$1,595 for that crappy little LCD TV, holy shit. Today I can get a 55" OLED TV for that price, and prices are still dropping.
My dads first Beta machine was $1200.00
first week of Jan. 2017 Wal-mart had 55" TVs for $300
I really loved it when Jamie won $1 million in Power of 10, the look of shock on his face was classic.
There was controversy during this episode. Sometime before this show they had that Plinko board gimmicked to hit $10,000 for some promotional video, but they forgot to take of the fish line that guided the chips before this episode was shot.
A NEW PLINKO RECORD!!! A NEWWW PLINKO RECORDD
Gourden the elf: WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE
me: yo I thought you only ate candy
Gourden: I have misspoken WHERE IS THE REINDEER SAUCE
me: what where was Rudolph this yeee......... OH GOD YOU MURDERERS
a 26 inch LCD TV today is worth like $120 now
+Hendomac not even
Ian T true, its more like $80
Back when it was $5000 in the center, I saw a woman win $21,000. So, that would be $41,000, or in other words, the 2nd highest total you can achieve on the game. The only way to win more is a perfect game.
I now found out that if a person was on Price is Right 10 years ago or earlier, you're eligible to be a contestant again
Scott's best Birthday ever!
Now that's how you host, Drew.
@whatmesage
Actually, Drew Carey signed on with the Game Show Network for a 40 episode commitment to an improv show starting in the spring! I'm not sure who'll be doing it with him, but from what I've found it may be a lot of the originals. It will be filmed in Vegas.
that was cool! i love plinko! the name makes me laugh!
I like stinko better, it has a sorta ring to it
Hot damn that woman is cute.
Record was over $40,000 set by a military guy on primetime with Bob. It's a clip here elsewhere. Perhaps this is the record for daytime, but not all-time.
The Bob Barker version, the military guy won 40k. In the Drew Carey version, someone won 41k. Both are primetime versions. This clip is daytime version.
I'm jealous! Kristy got lucky winning just over $30 000, but that kid in the green shirt makes $10 000 a year consistantly.
The guy who hit 40k, hit it because he hit the middle slot twice and the middle slot at the time was worth 20k. It was a night time special and I don't recall the middle slot being 20k other than that one time.
How the hell can a 27 inch LCD tv be worth 1500???? Is this 2001?
+Brandon Pegg well in canada a 20inch HD TV is about 899$ in 2015
+motti15 Drew started the show in 2007.
+John Smith Maybe if YOU paid attention, you'd see that this was NOT a projector. And Runco apparently didn't sell many of these, because they quickly got out of the consumer LCD market. Must've been why they were giving them away to TV shows.
+CrazyWedz rekt
+John Smith Damn!
She's so adorable
I read somewhere that after taxes she walked away with about $127.68...
She is adorable
Drew is wrong,A contestant wins $40,000 on The Price is Right salutes the U.S. Army in 2002 to become the biggest Plinko winner ever, daytime and primetime, a record that was held until May 7, 2008 when someone won $41,000 on it.
The $30,100 won in the 2007 Christmas episode is the record for the daytime show; the $40,000 won in a primetime special saluting the U.S. Army in 2002 stood as the record for primetime until 2008, when, as you said, another contestant broke that record by winning $41,000.
There is a difference between nighttime and daytime TPIR. That 41k was from night.
Something tells me... Drew Carey knows how guys work.
Actually, the record is $40k... on the Prime Time Special for the military in '03(?). They had the center slot worth $20k... but, she got the center slot once more than him.
It's so good, they will never get rid of it. And #2 they parody everything on Family Guy, The Simpsons and South Park.
Drew Carey has the best job in the world.
Damn a 27' inch tv for 1500? That must a California price
+aaron mcgee also in 2007. they were pricey back then man!
+aaron mcgee CA TV...$250 dollar TV...+ $1250 in taxes...lol
Wow new record 🤑💰💰💰
the new LCD TV!! HO SHIET NEXT GEN
Great! So less than 1% keep something all to themselves!!!! You must be proud.
