It had everything... challenging game play, cool design, strategy, action, awesome soundtrack, and still despite all that, simple enough to just pick up and play... nothing short of stellar. Well done Capcom, and thanks for the memories.

Have you ever recreated 8bit nintendo game "Enemy Music" while facing enemies on job facing terrible co worker you want to beat the fuck out of. Soon when he walks through the door 6:05 comes to mind.
It's because the composers were incredibly skilled. People always write off 8 bit music as "beep boops". Because they have no ear for melody or harmony or arrangement.
Oh man the memories. Me and my 3 brothers used to play NES until waaaaay past our bedtime lol. Still own a NES with about 25 games along with a Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis and Nintendo Gamecube. The plan is next year when I get a bigger house to set up a sick retro gaming room. Cant wait!!
Quem amar a música da tela de título do Mega Man 3, véi essa música e a frente do tempo deles, não e atoa que foi as músicas em 8-bit que deram origem a música eletrônica!
Passed it like a boss. I always thought 1 was harder than this one but I didnt get as frustrated trying to pass 2. Castlevania 1, Ninja Gaiden 1, Bionic Commando and this are probably my favorite NES soundtracks.

in 1990 I got megaman 2, but I had to wait a week to play it because our TV was broken. I spent that week reading the manual and trying to imagine what the game was like. Well on the last day of school that year I came home and there was a brand new TV sitting in the living room, and Megaman 2 was the first thing I saw on that TV. one of my best childhood memories ever :)
Nes really had some wonderful games this is one of them used to play it often as a kid the game play is fun and challenging I am a fan of mega man series.
Everyone jumps as they hit the wall just as they go into the tunnel/boss room. Something about him hovering there as the screen transitions to the next area was so satisfying.
Now that I'm in my mid 30s and I've seen the video game industry go from 8 bit to what we have today, I actually enjoy playing retro games more. Perhaps it is nostalgia, or maybe video games where just that, video games and not some huge story line on something.
I've played this game hundreds of times and never knew about that Air Man exploit, or though about using the Left Shield that way on Crash Man's level. Very nice!
Nice play through... can't get enough Megaman 2 on youtube haha and I actually think it sounds damn cool with the distorted audio.... Meatier sound or whatever and some nice heavy metal feel for Dr Wily's first stage at 27:12!
Well they may suck compared to some new gAmes I still play them well I'm 12 and I play nintendo more than an xbox360 that sits unplugged in my room I only know gen 1 of pokemon from my game boy and I'm proud
I always use to do the Quickman stage first and use the quick boomerang in lieu of the mega pistol because it was more effective on most of the enemies. Good use of the timestopper on the Woodman stage to get through some areas quickly.
Wish I could’ve played this game, it looks super fun, with that good old classic 8-bit charm not to mention the soundtrack is so catchy and memorable, when I think of Megaman I’ll think of this game.

Take a moment to appreciate the imagination that went into designing this game. The creators deserve an oscar.

I agree especially in the early 90s
The music is awesome too. Capcom knows how to make video game entertaining

Pretty much every song is this game is a masterpiece.
Thank you ! we had much fun in the year 1988 playing this masterpeace !
The music is amazing! It is so impressive what they were able to do with the rudimentary sondchip in the nes..
Fun fact about metalman: he has a weakness to his own weapon.
LOL
That’s pathetic
The saw is the most OP weapon in the game so it makes sence
I use it on the rematch against him and I died when he went down in one hit
@@hopelessamaturerougeofhope4399 on difficult mode it takes 2 hits.
For some reason NES music seems better than modern game systems.
Dude, megaman 2 has by far the best music in gaming history. even for 8 bits. I can listen to bubblemans song (or Dr. Willy) forever...
