What’s your thoughts on the parkside tools ? Thanks for watching.. there are millions of TH-cam videos out there, I’m blown away by the fact you watch mine. !! Comment if you like Like if you like Subscribe if you like CHEERS !
I was a Middle Isle junkie !!! I'd go round it putting lots of mens toys (tools etc) into my trolly. Take them home and my wife would say ...."what do you need that for?" OR "you've allready got one of those". Now, years later, I go round it putting the mens toys into my trolly. THEN I go round it again, put most of them back on the shelves and keep the one or two I really need. That way I still get my fix by putting the toys into my trolly AND it keeps my wife happy AND it saves me quite a few quid. It's what they call a 'win win'. So now I'm a rehabilitated Middle Isle junkie....
Just to mention the mini saw with blades i dont know if you are aware that when you tried it on cutting wood you made a schoolboy error by trying to use it as a normal handsaw which it is not !! It works just like a pruning saw ie it only cuts on the backwards pull stroke which is very clear to see as the teeth are angled towards the handle ok take a look 👍👍
That little handle for jigsaw blades looks like it might be quite useful in the right situation. It might be more fun trying to make one of those wee handles. Thanks Rob, that was fun as always.
Nice find - never seen that saw handle before! I’ve been using bigger versions that take a recip saw blade for years, but there are times when only a smaller blade will do! Great stuff, thanks! 👍
Cheers Peter, great dinky little saw.. I know it’ll come in handy one day 😉 I didn’t know about the recip handle.. I’ll add that to the list 😂 Thanks Rob
Love the little saw. I have a similar version but mine will take reciprocating, jigsaw, and normal hack saw blades. So use full I leave one in the back of my vehicle with blade assortment for when out and about doing jobs on the land. . Been very useful.
I recently got the parkside dremel and it's weak enough for my 7 year old to do some supervised wood engraving.... Great fun for the family p.s. the real aim was to mark my tools at work.
Haha must be men of 'an age' , my wife hates me going shopping with her, always bringing home tat that'll ' come in handy' one day.......garage, shed, cupboards indoors full of the stuff......haha love it , great video mate
I'm off to Lidl in the morning for the saw set. I've got a 50+ yyears old version that lives permanently in my sailing toolbox but I fancy anew lightweight one to stick in my take everywhere tool bag.
We had a massive fine fare in Grantham in the 80s.. Used to go shopping with that mam and dad .. go around the shop all the boring stuff... Then you would get to the toy and bikes 😂😂... Yep same buzz from Lidl....Aldi used to be the same, but they seem to have given up on tools
Hello, i made a coupple of little saws like that for my wood carving. Just jigsaw blades in a wood handle ,one for wood and a metal cutting one. Great for small cutting jobs. I might keep an eye out for the little set.👍
Nice wee haul on the metal chairs and those little saw looks like a wee saber saw for cutting back boxes through plaster board and stuff. Hope you've picked up some those clamps. Im away to watch your welding vidoes i wanna weld (make sparks)👍🏴
Their tools are obviously at the cheap end of the market, but often better than I expect for the cost. I'm more impressed by the power-tools than I am by their hand tools, which err towards the chunky, although that does make them usefully rugged! Things like drill bits are a bit meh, as cheap ones always go dull really rapidly, but for occasional use, their battery drills, jigsaws, etc are surprisingly good value. 👍
I think the quality of Lidl tools used to be a little better than it's now, still a great value though. I'll have to see if that sliding miter saw comes available here at some time, I'd like to have one but don't have eanough use for it to justify anything expensive.
I have a saw similar to the small one. It's called a pad saw to put hacksaw blades in. I usually put half a blade in at a time. I have a few parkside tools and think most are value for money that suits a D.I.Y. er like myself. Keep up the good videos to let us see the latest offers.
Hi Rob, like the hand saw set, those blades look like jig saw blades, handy for awkward cuts which a hand saw or jig saw is no good for. I got a very similar set of wire strippers from QD stores years ago my by Rolson they do look identical in yellow and black. Never know what you find in Lidl, catch you on Thursday at 7 Take care
Wish I could give my opinion on Parkside tools, haven't seen them here in the US. Not a lot of Lidl stores here. I'll keep looking though. Tiny saw looks useful. Great video Rob! Cheers!😁
I had an electric screwdriver that I bought from a DIY store. Unfortunately I dropped it in the water butt. So, I bought a Parkside one. That broke after a couple of months. Guess which one I'm still using. The one that fell into the water butt of course. I then bought a drill/screwdriver for 12 quid, a bargain. When I got it home, my parkside battery didn't fit it. So back I go to get the other one they make, not sure why you make two different batteries, but hey ho. The only battery they had was a returned item. So now I'm looking around for a battery and charger. I finally found a branch with one. The staff had no idea which one I wanted and they only had a double charger. I ended up paying a further £32 for my bargain drill. I also bought a bandsaw, which I had to take back because the blade couldn't be aligned because of a dent in the case. They did exchange it and the new one works ok. I'm not a great fan of Parkside, I find the Aldis tools are better.
The handle for the saw blades is a bit clever really as it will take standard jigsaw blades but it will also fit needle files as well. I got the kit that came with the needle files rather than the jigsaw blades and it's already been useful in the 'shop.
I must say that I hate you (in the nicest possible way), you forced me to go to Lidl (didn't take much though) to see if they had some of those hand jigsaw sets and I got the last one !!!! As you say no idea if I'll use it but "just in case" I got one, thanks (sorta). I only came across your channel a few weeks ago and I would just liek to say how good I think it is. I do have a good laugh and the reviews are also good as well. Thanks from a fellow shed (that I don't have - but do have a garage) head. Cheers.
😂 great stuff Adrian! Just in case.. you never know 😂 Great to hear from other sheddies ( or garage) 👍 great to hear you have subscribed.. hope you continue to enjoy the channel. Big thanks , cheers Rob
Didn’t bother with that saw set as at a quick glance I thought it was just overpriced jigsaw blades. Now I’ve seen it comes with a handle I’m getting one. 👍🏻
I don't buy Middle crap any more. When it goes wrong (and it will) you can't exchange it, just get a refund then you have to go somewhere else for a replacement unless you want to wait until lidl/Aldi get it back in stock.

@@tonyb83 ,hello, men and tools. Women folk just dont undetstand.🤔🤔🤣🤣
My SO has banned me from Lidl.
Yes I got that after .. I use pruning saws as well.. just a demo 😉👍 thanks for the pointers , cheers Rob
That little handle for jigsaw blades looks like it might be quite useful in the right situation. It might be more fun trying to make one of those wee handles. Thanks Rob, that was fun as always.
I agree mate .. and it will come a handy at some point , cheers Rob

Cheers Peter, great dinky little saw.. I know it’ll come in handy one day 😉 I didn’t know about the recip handle.. I’ll add that to the list 😂
Thanks Rob
It’s great as a mini pull saw…but I did break mine being too vigorous…
Hey Rob....... great video.....I like the look fo the chairs........ looking forward to your next project. Thanks as always for the content
Cheers mate 👍
Love the little saw. I have a similar version but mine will take reciprocating, jigsaw, and normal hack saw blades. So use full I leave one in the back of my vehicle with blade assortment for when out and about doing jobs on the land. . Been very useful.
I heard of the recip one.. may make one of those , cheers Rob 👍

All the best Rob
i wish there was a lidl and an aldi near me, every time i come to england i binge on buying their tools.
👍😂 fill your case with parkside ! Cheers Rob
Lidl should sponsor you at this stage. I have never seen a tiny saw like that but can see how it would come in very handy.
Id agree with that I no they sponsor erion Rodin (Irish traditional wood worker) but he has over million followers. But be worthwhile asking rob
Cheers buddy.. yes I think they should 😉😂 I’ll know I’ll need that saw, when I need it 😂 all the best
I’ll check his channel.. cheers Michael
I recently got the parkside dremel and it's weak enough for my 7 year old to do some supervised wood engraving.... Great fun for the family p.s. the real aim was to mark my tools at work.
Great to hear 😃
Great video as always.
And the black rubber gloves add a slight "Alvin Stardust touch".
No offence meant - "It's just my jealous mind." 😉
😂 yes the gloves do give that effect.. I have terrible hands 😉😂 cheers Rob
Cheers Rob, some handy tools there and at competitive prices too of course, look forward to seeing what you can do with the Stanley hammer !
Cheers mate .. yeah I think that hammer will come out good 👍 😃 cheers Rob

The little saw is a Pad Saw, where you only have access to from one side.
After reading the comments. I’ve learnt the right name 👍👍 so thanks buddy.. this is why comment are great on TH-cam , cheers Rob 👍
Haha must be men of 'an age' , my wife hates me going shopping with her, always bringing home tat that'll ' come in handy' one day.......garage, shed, cupboards indoors full of the stuff......haha love it , great video mate

I may have to pop back when in at Toolstation later.
I did also get their foldable trolley. Seems sturdy and may help when moving compost.
Not seen the trolley , thanks for letting us know 🙌👍 big thanks, cheers Rob
I have an Aldi saw set like that. Useful for finishing off jigsaw cuts that I might just spaff up if I try to go too fine into corners etc.
Good call 👍 cheers Rob
I like the mini saw…but they are only standard Jigsaw blades…The handle is the smart part…Gonna make one 😁
Great idea 😃👍
I'm off to Lidl in the morning for the saw set. I've got a 50+ yyears old version that lives permanently in my sailing toolbox but I fancy anew lightweight one to stick in my take everywhere tool bag.
Great to hear 👌 it seems a good bit of kit 👍 cheers Rob
We had a massive fine fare in Grantham in the 80s..
Used to go shopping with that mam and dad .. go around the shop all the boring stuff... Then you would get to the toy and bikes 😂😂...
Yep same buzz from Lidl....Aldi used to be the same, but they seem to have given up on tools
😂😂 I remember fine fare in Nottingham.. 👍👍 cheers mate
Its a toy store the middle bit, i spend ages in lidl, its like a day out for me,
Hello, i made a coupple of little saws like that for my wood carving. Just jigsaw blades in a wood handle ,one for wood and a metal cutting one. Great for small cutting jobs. I might keep an eye out for the little set.👍

Cheers buddy , great idea on plasterboard… earlier this year I was plasterboarding.. would have come in handy 👍
I picked up that saw set the other day. They do a file set with the same handle as well. Like you say, stuff I don't know I need till I need it.
Yeah I saw the files aswell mate.. I may get some 👌👍 cheers Rob

I avoid some items .. but generally good for what I need , big thanks , cheers Rob
That little saw looks cool. Might be good for plasterboard, balsa wood and the like
Top tips mate 🙌 cheers Rob 👍
Back in a minute ive got some leather projects coming up and nice hole 😂😂 dirty boy. 👍🏴
😂😂
I think the quality of Lidl tools used to be a little better than it's now, still a great value though. I'll have to see if that sliding miter saw comes available here at some time, I'd like to have one but don't have eanough use for it to justify anything expensive.

Those saw blades look like they might fit in a jigsaw, and vice versa. Nice one Rob. 👍
Yep.. great bit of kit Jim , cheers
Great tools and reviews Rob! 😃👍
Cheers John.. 👍
It does work well with standard jigsaw blade so you can then even fit a metal cutting blade into it.
Top tip 😃 cheers buddy

I got a very similar set of wire strippers from QD stores years ago my by Rolson they do look identical in yellow and black. Never know what you find in Lidl, catch you on Thursday at 7 Take care
Great little wire stripper , very handy , cheers Rob
Loving your work!
Much appreciated!
My version of the tiny saw for my go to tool pouch is a general purpose jigsaw blade fixed into a defunct screwdriver handle.
Great idea 👌 cheers
Wish I could give my opinion on Parkside tools, haven't seen them here in the US. Not a lot of Lidl stores here. I'll keep looking though. Tiny saw looks useful. Great video Rob! Cheers!😁
Cheers Mike, I’ve heard there’s only a few over the pond .. be good to see what they offer 🤔

Thanks for your comment, good to hear all experiences.. good and bad
I bought the small file set (same design) and a big bag of cable ties don't think I'll have buy a cable tie for years
Yeah those cable ties will keep us going for quite a while 😂 cheers 👍
Great video Rob…I have all of those tools 😅 some are better than others though
Cheers mate 👍 Gotta love parkside,, oh and Ferrex / workzone ( Aldi ) cheers Rob
@@WeekendShedHead Yeah totally agree Rob
My parkside angel grinder lasted longer than what I expected it's 9 years old and still working
9 yrs great stuff 😃 .. cheers Rob
Never seen that hand saw before, Put a worktop reverse teeth blade in that and it'll be perfect for cutting plasterboard.
Good call on the plasterboard 👍 cheers Rob
The handle is the same as the needle file handle. So if you have the needle file set you can just put a jigsaw blade in.
Good call.. thinking about it I should’ve done that , cheers Rob
The handle for the saw blades is a bit clever really as it will take standard jigsaw blades but it will also fit needle files as well. I got the kit that came with the needle files rather than the jigsaw blades and it's already been useful in the 'shop.

😂 great stuff Adrian! Just in case.. you never know 😂
Great to hear from other sheddies ( or garage) 👍
great to hear you have subscribed.. hope you continue to enjoy the channel. Big thanks , cheers Rob
You said you have those strippers for a while. You have had the cable from at 2005 when the colours changed
You’re right… I don’t throw anything out 😂👍 cheers Rob
I wonder if those blades would fit in a jigsaw?
Pretty sure they do mate 👍👍 cheers Rob
I hate cleaning my workshop up. I can never find anything 😅
I go from tidy to messy.. repeat 😂 good when it’s tidy though , cheers Rob
Didn’t bother with that saw set as at a quick glance I thought it was just overpriced jigsaw blades. Now I’ve seen it comes with a handle I’m getting one. 👍🏻
Same as me, I thought just blades 😉👍 cheers Rob
We all know you went to buy some saw blades but came out with a paddleboard
😂 that’s next time 😉, cheers Rob
Basically just a pad saw 😊
Thanks for the name! Great comment👍 , cheers Rob
Are these in at the moment , Went into a Derby Lidl, and no sign of any of these
It’s sometimes a bit hit and miss at Lidl.. cheers Rob
Half of the offerings advertised on the website weren't in mine when I went in late last week :(
Luck of their draw sometimes , good luck cheers Rob
Im still waiting for the blowup canoe, paddle board, when get there theres none left😢

More joys from the Aisle of Shite
The small saw is like a pad saw.
That’s the name 😃👍 thanks , cheers Rob
aisle as in middle aisle.
Oh yes isle.. I’m not very good at spilling 😂 cheers Rob
the mini saw was a joke right
I’ll let you decide 😂
It's a pimped pad saw.
That’s the name 😃👍 this I why I like comments .. 🙌 cheers Rob
I don't buy Middle crap any more. When it goes wrong (and it will) you can't exchange it, just get a refund then you have to go somewhere else for a replacement unless you want to wait until lidl/Aldi get it back in stock.
It’s a shame you have experienced this buddy.. thanks for giving us the flip side to buying their tools 👍
Cheers
Rob
Don't waste your money on that saw as it is useless as those are jigsaw blades.

Thanks for the explanation, this is why I like the comments 🙌👍 cheers Rob
It’s a pad saw
🙌 thanks for the heads up👌.. everyday is a school day , cheers Rob
It’s an einhill company these tools are ok for light diy but wouldn’t last a day on a building site imo!
👍 great for diy and occasional use , cheers Rob
What is that abomination under your feet? That is definitely not the flag that I served under and swore an oath to protect along with The Queen. The Union flag has equal width parts of the St George's cross, and should be flown with the thicker white band uppermost and next to the flag pole being on the left of display. This monstrosity is also shown in reverse, which is not the correct way to display our nations flag! Apologies for the rant, but it is disrespectful to fly our flag wrongly.
The camera reversed the video
I'm always dubious about a bloke who put gloves on to handle clean tools. 😳
Skin condition 😉👍 I’m not usually this over the top 😂👍
