I know we didn't get to play as Desmond very much, but the moments we did were awesome. He finally became a Master Assassin and this soundtrack makes you feel unstoppable. Oh the Templars want the apple? Well I'll just deliver it to their doorstep AND KILL EVERYONE IN THEIR HEADQUARTERS! Desmond didn't fuck around in this game lol

Damn right!, those were truly great moments that added way more than some spoiled morons give credit for. All these pesky whiners do is complain for having to get out of the animus for these important events in the story. Such players the bane of the franchise. Seriously.
Exiting the animus to play modern day sequences was much better than the alternative that followed, strolling around an office building. I was pretty disappointed that they killed off Desmond, I really wanted to get a modern-day game featuring him. He wasn't the most ideal protagonist, but they could have developed his character into something more likable if they had to, I'd think.
Separys I think they might bring him back as a clone...I donno
Desmond should/could have been the main guy in Watch Dogs. Ubisoft could have developed his story immensely had they gone that route.

Theory says that Desmond was supposed to live through the whole entire franchise and have fun modern day quests
Crazy storytelling parallels between Connor and Desmond
Haythem = William, fathers at odds with their sons
Charles Lee = Vidic
Charles Lee is the main driving force behind the rift between Haythem and Connor, leading to Connor ending the former's life
The rift between Desmond and William could've very well caused Desmond to not act, leading to Vidic killing William.
Charles Lee first meets Connor from a superior position of strength, fully having the power to end Connor's life
Vidic is the same, having captured Desmond and siphoning his memories of Altair with Desmond being unable to fight back in any meaningful way
Both return fully trained assassins and kill those whom made the mistake of leaving them alive.

For that we can agree taking something out just because he was unrelatable to the audience is also an understatement and don’t even get me started with his kid
Kicking out the creator of assassin creed was the original nail in the coffin, especially for the modern day, cause now ubisoft could do whatever they wanted, without the creator stopping them.
If William pushed Desmond and touched the sphere. That would have been a better way to end the game but not the entire franchise.

Wish could played as him more and with modern weapons, assassins always had something new according to their time apart from their blades.
I wish we could use a baton like at the end of AC2 but I guess the AC3 sword/mace animations would not work well with it.
Being honest you get to use a silenced gun at the end.

It's a shame they didn't utilize modern sniper rifles in the present-day stuff; that's the perfect assassin weapon!

The composer, Lorne Balfe, has worked with Hans Zimmer on several occasions. Zimmer might have given him a few tips on scoring music for videogames and movies. Hence the similarity.
Honestly I remember playing this game when this music was playing and I kept hoping that one day we will get to a modern assassin with Desmond and then they went and killed him off…😢

Honestly I hope we get an real modern (or better yet future) assassin. I want the franchise to do Sci-fi without the animus "living in the past" baggage at least once. Not going to happen considering the current series momentum but I hope for it.
The Vidic finale was so stupid. Did he not understand what the apple of eden was capable of? I felt like Ubisoft just rushed his story and especially Desmond's.
I believe he thought Desmond couldn't control the apple but Desmond gained skills from Altair, Ezio and Connor; which I think gave him the mindset to withstand the apple. The last time Vidic saw Desmond, he was literally a normie who can't do anything. When he came back he is taking on multiple guards with a knife and a hidden blade.
