I caught 9 King Salmon this year with this rod with 15lb braided line. They ranged from 24" to 36" long and weight from 6lbs to 29lbs. I like catching big fish on light tackle. If you use your drag the right way you will not break this rod. If your going to horse fish in then you need a deep sea rod.

Nothing to keep the rod in the holder. It would go flying out of the holder once snapped unless the tension on the fish is strong. He should use a piece of velcro strap.
Shame he did not show us catching a fish . When the rod is forced up with those springs did not see anything holding the rod on the rod breaker . And guess the spring power not nice to fish . Suppose if you catch a small fish you wont need to reel it in is going to be pulled or launched out of the water and land on the bank . Nice try but needs a bit more thought
