We used to get those regular ones four years back but they have increased the prices!! Nothing is lesser than 3. His spring-summer 2018 collection for a lehenga started from 2.95 lacs and it crosses 3 lacs easily including the gst n all taxes.
Maybe you should watch more vlogs about lehengas. You'll know that it's a thing and the ppl working in those shops actually endorse vloggers to reach a wider audience.

They didn't go to proper Chandni chowk stores... they chose the famous ones... The real stuff is in all small stores who actually export a lot... I got real zardosi work totally intricate n beautiful in 35k.... It was nothing like the cheap store one.... It was far far better than that and beautiful at the same time.... So you don't need a replica or pricey stuff for it to be beautiful....

As a bride to be, i watched a few other vlogs as well to get a basic idea. So the low range shops do sell lehengas starting from 2-3k as well. These being designer copies, and being in demand due to the actresses are on the pricier side in the lower range shops. But I still feel it is a good deal for someone who wants that exact lehenga. I wonder why all these ppl here are complaining so much about the prices!
I know I am late, I found this comment interesting, the answer to you question is becuase most of the guys commenting here don't even earn a lakh per month, otherwise the one who is earning 1 lakh a month after graduation, these 2 or 3 lakh lenhenga will be like a peanut percent of their savings at "marriage age"

I wore 2 lakh ka lehnga at my wedding and trust me I tried all the the cheap options but you can always figure out the difference between handwork and machine work. Machine work looks cheap and the fabric used in making those lehnga is also abit on lower side.
I thought the price ranges were bang on. I work in the fashion industry and have seen first hand how much work goes into creating something. Also, the cheaper you go, the terrible the quality of thread, fabric and stitching gets.

In ghatkoper lehengas are sold on the street for 1000 and up the more work on it the more it will cost but never above 10 k And even in shops in mumbai its most expensive are about 20-30 k coz no one here buys 1 lakh ka lehenga for one occassion
Could be available but the quality and the work will be cheap and gaudy as well. These are hand embroidered, the feel and a close view will you show you the reason. The lehenga that costs a Lakh will also be made with pure silk, whereas the Rs 1000 would be 100% polyester (Leading to discomfort and itchiness)

I and my friends have bought wedding lehengas from dadar (in front of hindmata clothes market there are atleast a dozen shops that sell fancy lehengas and sarees for cheap price you just have to explore many of them to find the best) and bhandup shops (in bhandup its on lbs marg sorry i do not remember the name of the shop but its near dolly studio) from 5000 to 12000 max And for an engagement my friend bought readymade lehenga with jacket and dupatta and an extra chudidar free with it for 4600 rs at ghatkoper shop on lbs marg also many sell light work lehengas for 1000 to 2000 depending on your bargaining skills in front of hinda maha sabha hospital ghatkoper very near to railway station on thursday Feel free to ask any questions As i am a true shopaholic

I think it is better to buy those cheap ones because you are going to wear it once, plus they are beautiful so value for money.

Because its your day, all eyes are on you, you treasure the pictures for the rest of your life, lehanga gives you positive vibes and makes you feel special and if someone has money then its their decision if once in their lifetime they want to feel like a queen. Moreover she is sacrificing everything after her wedding, leaving her family so lets not question the dress of her choice on her special day. I dont find anything wrong in spending once on your wedding attire. You later can gift it to your daughter too

Exactly. In new market there are beautiful lehengas available which are within 10k and the bride can easily wear it.
Delhi is famous for its big weddings and lots of kharcha, glamour and even the venue looks like its a movie set. 10K is what I spent on a lehenga for a cousin's wedding. You seriously can't go cheaper than that in Delhi.
In Odisha too 10k is usually max range for middle class brides. May be it's just a delhi thing.

If I had 3 lac to spend on a lehenga, I would have definitely gone for Sabyasachi. You do get some lehengas in that range.
I wore 2 lakh ka lehnga at my wedding and trust me I tried all the the cheap options but you can always figure out the difference between handwork and machine work. Machine work looks cheap and the fabric used in making those lehnga is also abit on lower side.

Could be available but the quality and the work will be cheap and gaudy as well. These are hand embroidered, the feel and a close view will you show you the reason. The lehenga that costs a Lakh will also be made with pure silk, whereas the Rs 1000 would be 100% polyester (Leading to discomfort and itchiness)
My bua got married in 2012 , I remember her wedding dress was from bhuleshwar, it was around 90k. I bought a lehenga for 7.5 k the lehenga. Which was the cheapest lehenga ,for I was 12 yr old from a popular store in Ghatkopar.
I and my friends have bought wedding lehengas from dadar (in front of hindmata clothes market there are atleast a dozen shops that sell fancy lehengas and sarees for cheap price you just have to explore many of them to find the best) and bhandup shops (in bhandup its on lbs marg sorry i do not remember the name of the shop but its near dolly studio) from 5000 to 12000 max
And for an engagement my friend bought readymade lehenga with jacket and dupatta and an extra chudidar free with it for 4600 rs at ghatkoper shop on lbs marg also many sell light work lehengas for 1000 to 2000 depending on your bargaining skills in front of hinda maha sabha hospital ghatkoper very near to railway station on thursday

When my mom got married she wore a chhabra lehnga... And trust me you guys ended up seeing only the replicas there. The ones made originally by them are way better than replicas. You should've tried some of those instead.
