    That's too much work to remove a phone battery. Can't believe the manufacturers made this so unnecessarily difficult

      They don't want your to repair it that's why they got rid of user replaceable batteries

      It's not as evil as soldering the battery in but I feel like Samsung went overkill ever since the note 7 scare. I don't know why since the main problem was not the battery jiggling but the battery cathode layers pinching and shorting out, which they made extra sure to get a better and more stricter tolerance on that. Now they went super overkill and nearly cemented the batteries in. If you're going to use liquid cement for battery adhesive, at least give us pull strips or plastic guides to slice the adhesive, this is nuts.

    Is it possible that i have damaged my fingerprint sensor during battery replacement? If so, what could be the reason? (Physical force or rather isopropyl alcohol which got under the sensor) is there any way to repair it without replacing the screen?

    question, when you put the phone back together is it still ip68 water and dust proof? thank you again

    • @ActuallyAwesomeName
      @ActuallyAwesomeName 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      no of course not. especially not if you dont use new adhesive to seal the back glass to the phone. the uploader does a lazy job at that

    • @QuackZack
      @QuackZack 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will need to get a new adhesive strip (you can find a few OEM strips online) to seal the back of the glass, if you press on the old and sliced adhesive there may be small gaps to allow liquid in. Beware!

    • @simgo3088
      @simgo3088 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ideally, this would be performed by a technician with access to new adhesive liners and a pressurized chamber that literally sucks and sandwiches the back to the chassis to restore the IP68 rating.

      Amazon sells a Note 20 Ultra replacement battery kit from a company called Max Bear. These days that kit costs about $23.95 (U.S. dollars)

    I replaced old battery with a new one in Samsung service center. But they provided a poor quality battery that drains fast unlike a new one. Phone diagnostics indicate "Action required - weak battery" even after replacement

    Please avoid touching the lenses! If you smear finger oils onto the lens you will get very blurry pictures and will be unable to clean it off without tearing down the phone again!
