Yes I hate umps because when ever we throw like strikes it’s always balls either way but for the other team it’s always strikes like I don’t get it at all
that actually was a strike because in softball, it's from your shoulders down to your knees, and that was right at her knees, and it wasn't inside or outside of the plate, and that was right at her knees so she could have hit it, and even if it was a ball, you don't argue with them because their job is to be there to just see what they can see and it's their judgment, not the crowds, you're not the coach so you don't get to say anything
For those who don’t play softball a strike is supposed to be from below shoulders and above nea so I would call it a ball but I do agree that parents shouldn’t say anything
Yeah, but what if he’s been doing that the entire game and the one team I think I would agree with his parents if that is true obviously umpires can make mistakes but some teams and if they keep making mistakes for the other team, I would say that that’s not a good empire
as a softball player, i wouldn’t swing at that but i could see it as a strike. i agree with the ump on the part about no parents talking back, it’s not ur call, deal with it.
As a fellow softball player it was in fact a ball. And just because the umpire called it a strike it does not make him blind. The strike zone is around elbows to knees making the pitch very close. When I am playing I get mad at upires like this all the time but at the end of the day it is a difficult call to make and the parents were in the wrong.
Strike. Ump is right. Bottom of the strikezone is defined as just below the batters kneecaps, if you pause you can see that it was in the zone, assuming it went over the plate. It could've been way inside but you can't see that with the angle provided
Okay. Need some clarification here. Can someone answer this question. In reference to a strike zone. In this situation the batter is clearly front of the plate. So, is the strike zone based on where the ball crosses the batter or is it always when it crosses home plate?
Tbh it’s different in leagues but I’ve always heard knees to letters(chest). It came in level with the knee but dipped down. I would call it a ball. But it also depends on the batters height. Cause their knees may be higher up so they would be called strikes more often than someone with short legs
I agree coming from a baseball umpire even in the major leagues they miss some calls it was one bad call it doesn’t mean you don’t wake up tommarow just continue to play the game and do not argue.
It actually was a strike, would've been more clear if you're behind the plate but if that wasn't inside then that's just around her kneecaps and its in the zone. Women just have different proportions than men, and their knees are lower but even if it looks low that's still in the zone.
The bottom of the knee cap is the low part of the zone, so yea, this was a ball, but it's close enough that you can't get upset about it being called a strike. Pitcher hit her spot.
I agree with the ump because you can see that it was at her knees or a little higher you are supposed to swing at those because the rule is knee to shoulder so he made the right call I’m not saying I would swing at it but it’s still a strike plus sometimes you say something to loud bc that has happened to me but you shouldn’t argue with the umpire
I'm not sure if softball has different strike zones than baseball but if their isn't it was a ball. Still though parents should not be speaking to the empire like that
I’m a varsity baseball player and I’ve had worse calls from umps. But I don’t like the attitude from the player at all. Like cmon reacting like that is just gonna make your zone even wider because you’ve upset umpire and believe me, umpires are petty like that. I had one today make a horrible call at second and then leave halfway through the game. If this happens to you, please have a better attitude about it. Don’t show emotion.
It’s definitely not a strike, and i get parents wanting whats best but if he’s constantly calling bad calls record them and report him, you cant do that if youre kicked out
The parents are allowed to talk. The empire is supposed to focus on the game and not the crowd just stupid for getting ejected just for saying what but if you say something bad or cussing or threatening the umpire, then they are supposed to eject you.
Oml, dude that was almost under her knee, what the hell is he calling!?
The umpire is blind thats a ball
Yes I hate umps because when ever we throw like strikes it’s always balls either way but for the other team it’s always strikes like I don’t get it at all
This isn't MLB. That's a strike.

I had this one umpire calling strikes all the way in the dirt😢
For those who don’t play softball a strike is supposed to be from below shoulders and above nea so I would call it a ball but I do agree that parents shouldn’t say anything

It's giving Angel Hernandez

Coming from a softball player I am not trying to play golf I am trying to hit the ball and get on base
Same, I will walk into the dugout at the start of a game and say “Hope they don’t expect me to play golf today”
Anyone noticed that lady said WHAT!!!!😂
he wasn’t even yelling at the right person 😂

The players and parents should never have a say on the calls. The coach is the only person that can make an argument.
Okay. Need some clarification here. Can someone answer this question. In reference to a strike zone. In this situation the batter is clearly front of the plate. So, is the strike zone based on where the ball crosses the batter or is it always when it crosses home plate?
from the clips i have seen arguing calls is the last thing the coaches should be arguing
It is a ball but it is really close because a softball strike is from your shoulders to your knees so with how close that it you should be swinging
Tbh it’s different in leagues but I’ve always heard knees to letters(chest). It came in level with the knee but dipped down. I would call it a ball. But it also depends on the batters height. Cause their knees may be higher up so they would be called strikes more often than someone with short legs
It was barley under her knee and in that case it DOES NOT make it a strike if you don't know the zone is knees- your chest
I agree coming from a baseball umpire even in the major leagues they miss some calls it was one bad call it doesn’t mean you don’t wake up tommarow just continue to play the game and do not argue.
I used to get mad, but then I realized baseball is like life, sometimes things aren't as you plan. Just adjust and move forward.
They make a lot of bad calls
100% agree. Parents need to stfu. Your not the umpire. Yes it was a ball, deal with it

I mean most of them are not going to go pro no point in arguing with the umpire

Below the knees straight ball
200% agree strike sorry it is at your knees knees and up to numbers is a strike SWING
The bottom of the knee cap is the low part of the zone, so yea, this was a ball, but it's close enough that you can't get upset about it being called a strike. Pitcher hit her spot.
The worst call I had is when I had to move out of the way so the ball didn’t hit me. It was on the line of the batting box and he called strike 3
Ump sounds like he had it out for you!
@@mcelfreshiii yup
It’s up to the ump but a strike is usually knees to shoulders and it was at the knees so it’s the umps call
ATP why is nobody talking about how the score is 17-7 in the 3rd inning… and that umpire was 100% angel hernandez for Halloween
Yes.
I play softball and this happens a lot more than one would think. You js gotta deal with it and look low.
No, it is RIGHT below her knee, umpires really need to UP their game
Knees to shoulders so ever though she might not have been able to hit it def a great call
100% But if I was the batter I would do that to
I mean he does not have the best calls, but you’re always supposed to respect
The umpire
i agree if someone said he has a werid looking stomach😂
Yes the strike zone is from the top of your chest to your knees
Yes that is a strike came over the top of her front knee
It was at the knees so yes
Ump from Craig's list
the umpires just their to get paid
It is a ball but as a batter u should know to protect with 2 strikes not sure what the situation was but that’s how I took it
Umpire is blind hell
Ball unless it's to the shin
I agree
It looks low but it’s based off of the umps strike zone. Parents can deal with it
Hellen keller vibes fr
Dude that was a ball
I didn’t know we are playing golf
Ya I’ve had that because no one could pitch and he felt bad so he called a strike that about hit me
That’s a strike but I’m not swinging
I play softball yall and that’s a tough call but it is a lil low but it’s also a good drop ball
No because it is at her knees
I agree with the ump because you can see that it was at her knees or a little higher you are supposed to swing at those because the rule is knee to shoulder so he made the right call I’m not saying I would swing at it but it’s still a strike plus sometimes you say something to loud bc that has happened to me but you shouldn’t argue with the umpire
The strike zone is from knees to bellybutton and that just chipped out of the bottom of the zone that’s a strike
I'm not sure if softball has different strike zones than baseball but if their isn't it was a ball. Still though parents should not be speaking to the empire like that
Yes
Even if I was on team on the other side that’s on the field I would say it was a ball
No and I a softball player
BALL
Yes😂
As long as it is always a strike
That's a strike cause a strike zone is from knees to the letters on the jersey
I had a strike that was in the dirt then at my head next thing i knew i hit that ball over the fence
IT’S A BALLLLLLLL
I play softball and it is a strike I'm 5'2 I would swing, but she is tall so it is a ball
Right call. That was a strike. And I play softball so ik
Is that angle Hernandez
It's a ball because it was under her knees win over the plate so the umpire is so so so so blinded
Bros taking his mistakes out on them like what the sigma
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I will say what the hell and go
That was a ball
No, because if she would been standing up straight that that ball would be below her knees

I can't see from that angle but looks like a ball
looks like he has umped baseball before aswell. baseball has a more of a dipped swing more easily a strike in baseball
That is a strike all day
It is a strike be cause the passing point is back and sense the ball is bigger then the baseball the ball got the bottom
They're both wrong and they're both right
Oh nah 😂
it is at her knees so yes it is a strike
It’s way inside buddy
It’s definitely not a strike, and i get parents wanting whats best but if he’s constantly calling bad calls record them and report him, you cant do that if youre kicked out
Strike all day
No that is like Swinging at a galf ball
I am a umpire for baseball this I not a strike chest and knee caps Is the strike zone for softballl and baseball
It’s a ball but only by like a inch
Omg that was so low how could that be a strike

Not trying to start an argument, but coming from a softball player, that’s a ball. Close, but a ball
Strike 100%

That’s a strike. It’s at her left knee, the only reason it looks low on her right is because of her stance.
