I think we all appreciate you doing sealed for us to prepare for the prerelease, I myself am going to go to 2 events that are going to be 5 rounds minimum.. and I'm so excited
I'm so sad. I just gotten back into it and loved bloomburrow quickdraft. So much fun and forme the "streamlined" way of drafting really helped learing and as a returning player was awesome
@@DiscardatRandom Horror as a theme works great, but this pseudorealistic shlock horror theme falls flat and bad. Innistrad is a setting with great themes of horror, but this is a setting ABOUT horror, specifically as an aesthetic. It looks really bad. It's pretty much the generic "game looking video game about video game things" you can see someone play in a movie or something, but with horror.
I was excited to see how Ghost Vacuum works, especially as it was my promo and helped me to a hard earned 4-0 prerelease win. My last opponent said the creatures return to the graveyard after you use ghost vacuums second mode, and I'm like, no, the first mode exciles them as they are now 1/1 spirits. Awesome video and this set is so fun. I won with orzhov reanimator. Turn 4 4/5 flyer was chefs kiss.
The sheer level of garbage commons in packs feels really really high. I’ve just had packs where I feel like there aren’t many playables after a few picks
You are the only person I've seen that focuses heavily on limited content that's been pretty down on glimmerlight. Is there any reason, or is it more of a gut reaction thing? It's great for both of the eerie decks because its an enchantment etb, it's solid for delirium because it's an important card type that can sometimes be a bit hard to get access to, and gw seems like it would like the ability to pump its creatures for a cheap cost to disincentivize blocking them in combat.
I’m not really sure how to respond to this. I could easily be wrong but I generally am down on equipment as I feel it doesn’t impact the board well enough. This is a 2 mana 1/1 or a 3 mana 2/2 if you move the equipment. Delirium is trivially easy to get in this format and this being an artifact does not move the needle for me whatsoever. I can believe that anything that triggers eerie along with the versatile nature of this card could make it playable. Nothing more.
@@haumph That's fair! I was just surprised to see you dismiss it outright when pretty much all of the other content creators that I follow (kenji, lords of limited, nizzahon, limited level-ups, even LR) seem to have opinions varying between "this is a pretty decent filler card" to "this is a great common". You do definitely raise some good points about it, though, so thanks for clarifying
I'm gonna miss the flavour of Bloomburrow draft tbh. Squirrels, frogs, lizards, bats etc. Rooms just feel kinda weird. Hopefully it grows on me over time.
I also liked Bloomburrow's vibe. Duskmourn is introducing VHS tapes, TVs, radios, baseball, cheerleaders, and weightlifting to the Magic:The Gathering universe...I don't like it!
“We’re going to read together!” Proceeds to zoom through 70% of the cards at lightning speed. Don’t think I’ve spent so much time paused on TH-cam videos before 😂 New set looks interesting
They should have left all the "fear of" cards as the actual word for that fear. It would have been infinitely amazing to hear streamers attempt to pronounce those words. 😂
"i'll cut a most valuable slayer" - i'm pretty sure this will end up being one of the best red commons but i guess if you are not super creature-heavy then it becomes less good. but i'm still highly skeptical of this cut! EDIT: reading "MVS" closely, it says "whenever you attack" so its not even that you have to attack with this 2/4, you can just have this guy in play, and then swing your 4/4 and that just seems insane to me. Am I wrong? GHOST VACUUM - apparently this is like the first time we've had a 1 mana artifact that does this. (relic-type artifacts say "target opp chooses what card to exile") and the ones that target are usually 2 mana. So this makes me think that Ghostly Vacuum will be a card you will want to pick up on mtgo while it is cheap, IF it is cheap (i remember unlicensed hearse popped off on mtgo so this may as well).
@@haumph i learned a ton about the set from this one video so thank you. also recommend sierko and co. 's "skeleton crew" video sierko just posted. really good primer of the format there.
He said he was planning to bring it back from the graveyard to get the deal-damage effect again. But then he drew something that made him change his mind.
We won't know until the format has progressed but I can't help but wonder if you're undervaluing Unwanted Remake. It's not premium removal, but a one mana instant to take care of your opponents best creature at the cost of a random 2/2 that, even if it is a creature, is likely worse than what you killed? I'm putting it in my white decks every time. Maybe I'll be proved wrong!
Bovine intervention was garbage in OTJ, in spite of all of the crazy bombs you really want to remove. Costing one less mana is basically irrelevant and letting them manifest dread is strictly worse than giving them a 2/2 ox.
Agree with the fellas killing something even there best thing to give them a 2/2 at the least and potentially an even better creature they can flip. Not good
bro was the first to die in the horror movie
can confirm.

5 rounds!? That's so much time to keep open.
Thank you for your humility Mr. Cheon. Win or learn.

idk about the horror theme for mtg in general but these common lands are super sweet love em
Horror has been a huge theme in magic for forever what

Finally, my favorite current-limited creator and the set being played at Vegas. The studying begins.
Hell yeah, Paul! Thanks for the video, sealed is always a little less approachable than draft because of the simple lack of coverage
Let's Hop into duskmourn 😉 niceee
Ayyyeee let’s go! So excited to draft DSK.
Is it just me or was bloomburrow a way better pack for sealed/drafting?
The sheer level of garbage commons in packs feels really really high. I’ve just had packs where I feel like there aren’t many playables after a few picks
After seeing this movie was less than an hour and you spend so much time reviewing the cards, I feared for your record 😂
Hah!
Excited for 2HG Prerelease this Sunday!
So excited!

Do you want a 40 minute video on just the sealed deck portion?
Sorry if this came across negatively, it was supposed to be tongue in cheek! Appreciate you!
They should have left all the "fear of" cards as the actual word for that fear. It would have been infinitely amazing to hear streamers attempt to pronounce those words. 😂
That Cursed Recording sure seemed bad in that game.
I thought the deck was about as good as it goes from the pool..? Alas it happens
You know… there’s no way but up now
Can’t do worse!

Yeah I think mvs is a lot better than it looks. I was wrong about it.
I love the combo of the 1RR 4/2 that must be blocked into MVS. Also super good with survival cards

Is it me or was this a pants sealed pool, didn’t look like any colour was the right answer here
My pool was very bad yes
No set review?
Nope. Check out limited resources they should have one out soon!
white room is busted
25:50 I wonder why you sacrificed your room there when you had 2 more mana available which you didn't use otherwise
He said he was planning to bring it back from the graveyard to get the deal-damage effect again. But then he drew something that made him change his mind.
I think power 2 or less RW was the build. You sacrificed everything for one ray of command sac combo.
The results speak for themselves. POW
