I feel a major factor, which has led to JJ changing his demeanour from this egotistical/confident person to this laid back/reserved character is because of Jake lost to Tommy fury, where heading into the fight many people including JJ felt Jake would win since he beat credible fighters compared to tommy who only beat journeymen with a combined record of 20wins and 200loses. Jakes lost has made JJ more aware that losing is more inevitable then he believed so, whereas before JJ would portray this villian/egositical character that he was the best influencerboxing by far.

I think there’s a lot of factors behind ksi being humble, a main factor is that he’s facing “being cancelled” so ksi having an outburst at this time will have a massive negative impact on his reputation and wouldn’t help him in any way.
Another factor is that this is ksi first time fighting a “boxer” who believes he will beat ksi unlike his other opponents who definitely had doubts coming into the fight.

I think what’s different here, aside from maybe his fight against temper, is that… There isn’t really any beef whatsoever, like Joe hasn’t done anything to piss JJ off, so it makes sense that he doesn’t react to stuff with as much intensity of animosity. the fact that he’s probably really tired is also a big factor for why he might seem a lot less…into it, than usual, even though I doubt that’s actually because he isn’t motivated.
