Can confirm that the purpose of taxiways V and W are so that arrivals can taxi without needing to stop departures to allow them to cross. You don't get shouted at if there's a plane there during a departure.
Hey Chaz! I posted some links in discord a while back on actual ATL procedures typically and what runways are used, it's super interesting to check out in reality how it's managed. RWY 10 is used for both landings and takeoffs, and turboprops are restricted on takeoffs at some runways. You might even want to restrict where your cargo planes come in. Hartford is wild!
Chaz, Possible Controller Deviation at 18:26 Maybe we should keep track of these! Also looking at it, I wonder ifDAL1694 could have turned left and gone around the heavy to ramp.
Fun fact: Atlanta is no longer the busiest Airport as Chicago ORD has beaten them by almost an extra 200 flight Atlanta: 7800 Flights per Week going to 239 different Locations Chicago ORD: 7996 Flights per Week going to 250 different Locations Idk if that affects the Passenger Numbers tho
Hi Chris, what headset do you use please? I'm having issues with TS3 understanding anything. In fact I started to doubt whether I was speaking English at all 😂
The layout of this airport is always a lot of fun to manage

Yeah they call them the Victor and Whiskey Loop, built just to keep everything moving.

Have you tried the TS3 Assistant? Automatic strips, lovely to use with bigger airports. Cheers from Norway, love your vids!
@@martinhloevsal I have not, but may look into it for future "big ones" ☺️
It would be interesting if you simulated the accident with the CRJ

@@andrewmelbournetransport Interesting! I completely overlooked Chicago! Will have fingers crossed it comes to the game.
ORD comparable in plane movements, but ATL is still absolutely higher in passenger traffic
